A wonderful day - worth every penny

I am not from the area so had no idea what to expect, however on arrival I was more than pleased. I’d booked a “pure indulgence spa day” for £105.00 on SpaSeekers. The spa was quaint and made me feel instantly at ease. The staff were all so lovely and attentive, the treatments were up there with the best I’ve ever had... (and I’m a frequent spa visitor!). I arrived at 11am and didn’t end up leaving until 5.30. The light lunch that came with the spa deal was lovely and came with a complimentary drink too (I opted for a chilled glass of Prosecco). In the late afternoon I asked if it was possible to have some tea and scones and the staff were more than happy to assist even though they were busy! I came away feeling TOTALLY relaxed and felt that it was everything I needed and more. Thank you to everyone at Devonshire Arms Spa for a wonderful day of relaxation! I’m one very happy customer and if I’m ever in the area I will most definitely be back again!

A Great Cure for Tonsilitis!

Arrived at the spa without my SpaSeekers voucher - not normally so unprepared but had returned late the previous evening from a business trip with tonsillitis so felt pretty run down ! Staff were accommodating by printing off for me - smart phones are very useful ! My friend and I had booked for 3 mini treatments but the mini facial was actually a full facial with neck & head massage which, for me was heavenly - my therapist really did a good job with easing my headache. The facilities, although in limited space, are excellent. We were provided with lunch in our package, which consisted of a sandwich & drink. The quality and presentation were high. We will definitely be returning as not only excellent, is mid-way between our respective homes. We shall stay in the hotel next time too,

Lovely setting, lovely staff, excellent treatments and nice pool and Jacuzzi. We had expected 'light lunch' to mean a choice of freshly prepared sandwiches or salad and fruit and planned to have a small glass of wine with lunch. Sadly, for lunch we were asked to choose a packet of pre packed sandwiches from the fridge . These were taken out of the packet and cut up and put on a plate with a packet of crisps. Nothing else and no licence at the spa. Disappointing fare for a hotel and restaurant which has such accolades for its food. We had chosen this spa partly for this reason.

I would recommend the Devonshire arms. It's calm and friendly atmosphere makes it a wonderful relaxing Spa day. Staff were attentive but not intrusive and were very welcoming. My daughter and I had a lovely day now I have to repeat the experience with my other daughter she has heard all about it so no doubt I will be re-visiting soon. Bernadette

Wonderful day out for my daughter and me. Helpful staff showed us to the facilities, although the gym was small it had all the usual equipment, some help with how to use this would have made things easier. The pool and Jacuzzi were fantastic. We enjoyed several complimentary cups of coffee from the charming young man on duty. Our lunch was freshly prepared and very tasty, we ordered this prior to our treatments and it was delivered promptly. When it was time for our treatments the beauty therapists came and introduced themselves and directed us to the treatment rooms, these were beautifully appointed, warm and restful. We each had a back massage, a head massage and a facial. These were carried out very professionally and left both of us feeling very relaxed. We then took a shower and dressed in the private locking cubicles. We completed our super experience with a mini manicure and polish and hot chocolate.

The service of all staff was excellent and the products used very good The condition of the spar is very good and in a lovely setting I would definitely go back to this spa. I enjoyed the whole day, my two favourites are the facial and the spar pool.
