I really enjoyed my visit to this relaxing spa. There is a big sauna, two steam rooms, cold plunge and hot bubbly tubs. It's really calm and stylish too, and although small I always got space to myself. Had lunch in the hotel bar afterwards - a lovely cosy room with a roaring fire.

The Spa at the Netherwood Hotel is modern and clean and nice. It doesn't have a pool, which I always enjoy at a spa, but the rooms were good. It is very small and at one point there were 20 people in one room with hot tubs and nowhere to sit. I imagine it's better at quieter times...though we were pretty much on our own in the steam room etc. Changing rooms very compact when there are a lot of people and no cubicles either. Very small, but nice. Afternoon tea was good, average, nice...nothing to write home about. The cakes were perhaps a bit hard, scones to die for. I asked for a hot chocolate, but had to send it back twice as they put clotted cream on the top of it and you could see all the fat separating on the top. I ended up asking for a lime and soda. Staff in the spa and hotel were all really lovely, attentive and welcoming.
