The good thing about this spa break was the food and treatments. It appears the hotel has recently been done up but a lot of corners have been missed, literally. The spa area is relaxing and the team were very accommodating. There had been an error with the booking. It because the confirmation didn’t come through until the day before l, that’s when we first realised the issue. They went above and beyond to put it right. I was very impressed. The treatments themselves were done exceptionally well. The changing area is very basic and the pool area also lets the spa down a little as no proper space to relax in there except a few bean bags and a bench and the pool area and sauna are very small, however it is within steps of the beach (steep ones!) which we were lucky enough to enjoy due to the good weather.

Hotel room was clean and spacious. Shower and complimentary toiletries were excellent. All meals were delicious and complimentary welcome drink was a lovely surprise. We had a foot treatment and back, neck, shoulder massage. Recommend both. There is a darkened relaxation room with complimentary chilled water, tea and coffee. The only downside was the small and very crowded swimming pool. The spa facilities were dated and looked like they were in the process of being refurbished. But as the hotel is so close to the beach - we decided for a walk outside on the sand instead. Check parking - We were asked to pay £10 a night for parking, but when we questioned it, we were then given it as a complimentary to our stay.

The spa area was closed for refurbishment, partly my fault for not reading properly, but some kind of reiteration would have helped on the many emails back and forth. Hotel doesn't seem to have any kind of policy or security to stop people entering the hotel drunk at 4am banging on doors. Food was amazing at the restaurant and there was plenty of choice for breakfast. Room was clean and bed was comfortable for the short time we were able to sleep.
