While spas are the perfect setting for some much-needed alone time, they are also a great place to spend time with friends and family. So, in this guide we look at group spa days and packages and highlight some popular group spa treatments.
There are lots of spa days and spa packages available for groups. These include general packages that you can enjoy at any time and those tailored for different occasions, such as:
- special celebrations (Mother’s Day and baby showers, etc.)
- girls-only getaways
There are also spa days and breaks designed especially for couples, either romantic experiences with a partner or simply some indulgence shared with a friend or family member.
The inclusions in a group spa package will vary, but often feature one or more treatments – either inclusive or chosen from a menu – plus access to the spa’s leisure facilities, which may include a swimming pool, hot tub, and sauna/steam room.
When a spa offers a group package, it often sets a minimum and/or maximum number of guests. Always check with us at the time of booking, so we can make sure the spa you choose can accommodate your party size.
If you book a group spa day or break, you are likely to have a choice of at least one treatment. Most of these treatments will be individual, such as a pedicure or facial. However, group spa treatments on offer may include:
- Rasul (or Rhassoul) mud treatment: This non-therapist treatment involves applying nourishing purified mud to your body as you relax in a communal steam room.
- Twin treatments for couples: Some spas feature dual treatment rooms, in which you can enjoy a treatment, such as a massage, side-by-side with a friend or partner. Find out more in our massages for couples guide.
- Thermal spa experiences: Some spas offer thermal suites, in which you and your group can experience the benefits of extreme temperatures (such as a steam room and ice cave). Find out more in our guide to thermal spas.
The luxury Feversham Arms Hotel & Verbena Spa in North Yorkshire offers a Girly Gathering spa day, which includes a 75-minute treatment, lunch and a glass of Prosecco, plus all-day use of the facilities.

Pace Health Club and Nu Spa in Manchester offers a Group Spa Day for between four and nine guests, which features a choice of treatment and use of the leisure facilities, plus a discount on food and additional treatments.
The House of Daniel Thwaites Spa group offers its One Night Girls Night In break at six spas across the UK. The break features accommodation, breakfast, half a bottle of Prosecco per guest, a sharing platter, plus use of the leisure facilities.
The Boutique Wellness Spa in Cambridge offers a Dream Baby Shower Package for between six and eight guests, featuring a treatment, afternoon tea and use of the facilities, which include a thermal/glacial suite. Please note, the mother-to-be must be at least 12 weeks pregnant for the inclusive full-body massage and should avoid the extreme heat facilities (see our pregnancy guides for more).
For groups of six or more, we offer a voucher for a Group Pamper Day, which is redeemable at 13 spas nationwide. The package includes a facial, a back, neck and shoulders massage, a light lunch and full use of your chosen spa’s leisure facilities.
Maybe the ultimate group spa experience, hen party spa breaks can be a standalone celebration or the perfect complement to a more full-on pre-wedding bash. A few hours, or even a couple of days, chilling out at a spa can be a great way to relax with friends, enjoy some pampering and prepare for the big day.
Many of our spas offer specific hen party packages, which come with a range of treatments, access to the leisure facilities and other goodies, such as a glass of fizz (inclusions vary). Overnight breaks will include accommodation and food options. Find out more in our guide to hen party spa breaks.
