At SpaSeekers, we bring you the finest luxury weekend breaks across the UK including at a selection of magnificent country estates. Our breaks are perfect for an anytime romantic escape, quality time with family and friends, or for celebrating a special occasion. In this guide, we help you to plan your perfect spa getaway by answering some questions you may have about our UK luxury weekend breaks.
Do your hotels offer spa breaks?
We bring you a wide variety of packages at spa hotels across the country to offer you the maximum choice. In addition to accommodation and (usually) dining options, the majority of our UK luxury weekend breaks feature access to the hotel’s spa. Depending on the package you choose, you might enjoy one or more luxurious spa treatments plus access to the leisure facilities, such as the swimming pool and thermal suite. However, we do offer some basic bed & breakfast, and dinner, bed & breakfast packages that simply feature overnight accommodation and specified meals. These packages can be a great budget choice, or a good option if you want to spend your luxury weekend away exploring the local area or relaxing in the hotel’s grounds.
Where are your luxury country hotels based?
Our luxury country spa hotels are located in some of the UK’s most picturesque areas, including the stunning Scottish Highlands, the marvellous Midlands, the rolling countryside of Yorkshire, England’s superb south-west and south-east regions, and wonderful rural Wales. We feature properties that are close to, or even within, the UK’s loveliest Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and breath-taking National Parks, such as Dartmoor, the Cotswolds, the Peak District and the Lake District. In addition, many of our spa hotels are situated within hundreds of acres of beautiful grounds, from elegantly landscaped gardens to natural parkland and woodland. This all adds to the peaceful ambience that helps to make our UK luxury weekend breaks calming and restful retreats.
Can we create a bespoke luxury UK staycation?
We tailor all our packages to bring you the maximum choice and plenty of goodies! Browse our full range of options and you will see that each of our spa breaks has detailed inclusions, so you know exactly what you can look forward to on your weekend away. This is a great way to create your bespoke luxury UK staycation, as you can choose a package that matches your requirements and budget. Whether you would like lots of indulgent spa time or would prefer less spa access and more time to enjoy your surroundings, you can find a package to suit.
For example, the One-Night Euphoria Spa Break at Moddershall Oaks Health Spa in Stone, Staffordshire features overnight accommodation, breakfast and a two-course evening meal. You also get to enjoy full use of the leisure facilities, which include a swimming pool, hydrotherapy pool, heated marble loungers, and reflexology foot baths, plus the choice of two 50-minute treatments chosen from a menu of options (package available on selected dates).
Meanwhile, the One-Night Dinner, Bed and Breakfast Break at Armathwaite Hall Country House and Spa in Keswick, Cumbria simply features overnight accommodation, a credit towards dinner in the hotel’s Lake View Restaurant, and breakfast. This leaves you ample time to make the most of the hotel’s stunning Lake District location (package available Sunday to Friday).
We also feature luxury spa breaks that are perfect for celebrating a special occasion. For example, the One-Night Celebration Spa Break at Alexander House Hotel & Utopia Spa in Turners Hill, West Sussex features overnight accommodation, dinner, breakfast, limited spa access and the choice of one 55-minute treatment from a menu of options. Kick off the celebrations in style with the bottle of chilled Champagne and chocolate-dipped strawberries with Viennese biscuits that will be waiting in your room on arrival.
If you have any specific requirements or would like to add something on to your spa package, such as an additional pampering treatment or two, we are always happy to discuss your options (extra charges may apply).
What can we do during luxury weekend breaks in the UK?
As we mentioned earlier, many of our luxury hotels provide terrific bases for heading out to enjoy the great outdoors. So, you can spend your time away enjoying gentle country walks, challenging hikes, or bike rides. You can also explore the local area by car. In addition to lovely communal areas, restaurants and bars, and grounds, some of our luxury properties feature extensive indoor and outdoor activities, such as the Champneys family of health spas. Meanwhile, golf lovers can choose a hotel with a fantastic onsite course, such as The Mere Golf Resort & Spa in Knutsford, Cheshire or The Belfry in Sutton Coldfield, Warwickshire (which has three!). In addition to country house hotels, we feature fab city-based luxury properties, which put you right at the centre of the action, such as K West Hotel & K Spa in West Kensington, Greater London. Opt for a luxury spa weekend and you will also enjoy access to the fabulous treatments and facilities detailed in your chosen package.
In short, we don’t think you’ll be bored on one of our luxury UK weekend breaks!
Are your luxury country house hotels suitable for families?
While most of our luxury spa hotels welcome families, spa access is usually age limited. Typically, our spas are open to the over-18s, although some do welcome slightly younger guests (over-16s or over-14s are usually the lowest permitted age groups). As such, our spa packages are mainly geared towards adult singles, couples or groups. We also feature some properties that are exclusively for adults, which do not permit younger guests. If you would like to book one of our luxury spa hotels and are planning to travel with younger children, a spa day package at your chosen property may be more suitable. Please contact us to discuss your options.
Are your luxury country hotels dog-friendly?
We do feature some luxury properties that welcome dogs, so you can bring your four-legged friend with you on your spa weekend to enjoy the open countryside. Examples of our dog-friendly luxury country hotels are the Feversham Arms Hotel & Verbena Spa in Helmsley, North Yorkshire, Ellenborough Park in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, and the Spread Eagle Hotel & Spa in Midhurst, West Sussex. If you would like to bring your pooch along, please check with us ahead of time, so we can be sure your chosen hotel can accommodate your canine companion. Please note that there are likely to be rules in place as to where your dog is not allowed, such as the spa and the communal and dining areas.
What types of rooms do you offer?
Our luxury weekend spa breaks feature overnight accommodation in one of your chosen hotel’s guest rooms. While the amenities will vary between hotels, you can expect to relax in a comfortable and well-appointed single, double or twin non-smoking room with an en-suite bathroom. Some rooms will offer wonderful views over the hotel’s grounds or the surrounding areas. If you have any specific requests, such as stair-free access or a wheelchair-accessible room, please let us know at the time of booking and we will be happy to arrange this with the hotel. Likewise, if you’re planning a luxury weekend away to celebrate a special occasion, room upgrades may be possible. Again, we’ll be happy to discuss your requirements with the hotel (subject to availability, extra fees will apply).
