From arrival to departure, the experience was lovely. The staff we’re polite, courteous and informative, nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant staff particularly stood out especially the young gentleman waiter (very tall, dark hair), apologies we did not take a name. He was very professional and courteous. The reception staff were lovely also and the cleaners do a fantastic job, we had a lovely little chat with one of the nice ladies in the corridor. The food we LOVED. Throughout our stay we ate from the grill menu (best burger I’ve eaten) and in the evening ate in the restaurant which was also very very nice. There is a lot of choice at breakfast and every diet is catered for. During our stay we both had a Spa experience and we were looked after really well, very relaxing. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. Gisborough Hall will be definitely seeing us again.

Excellent hotel, with lovely room. The staff in both the hotel and the Spa were very welcoming and Byron and James looked after us so well in the restaurant. Having recently stayed at another hotel in the Thirsk area at twice the price without the Spa, I would recommend Gisborough Hall each and every time.

Came here for a spa treat for my daughters birthday. Started our day with a croissant and pastry breakfast served in the beautiful reception room overlooking the snow covered hills, perfect! Then taken to the spa area which was small and intimate, spotlessly clean and beautifully laid out. We enjoyed a sauna to ourselves then separated to two treatment rooms where we were thoroughly indulged with excellent treatments by delightful therapists who provided top notch treatments with not a hint of being perfunctory. We then had relaxation time followed by a very nice lunch from a good choice menu with a glass of Prosecco. Nothing was rushed, it really felt as though we’d had a complete break after, in elegant relaxed surroundings. A pool would have nice but a purpose built spa/gym/pool is underway in the grounds - I only hope they don’t lose the intimacy that the smaller faculty provides. Would definitely go again!

The first thing you notice about Gisborough Hall is the ornate façade and the wonderful ivy-clad walls. As soon as I saw the place I knew I was going to be able to relax and unwind. I enjoyed the Revival Zone spa, where the team were really friendly and the treatments were just gorgeous. The restaurant is lovely and the room I stayed in was perfect, too. Most of all, I really enjoyed the long walks in the local countryside, where it’s so easy to forget all about the outside world. I’m going to be coming back time and time again, I reckon.
