Bosworth Hall Hotel Spa

Want to bike before breakfast or lunge before lunch? It’s easy at the hotel’s modern leisure club. Called Spindles, Bosworth Hall’s swimming, spa and fitness centre is open daily, so you never have to miss a workout.

Sweat it out in the fully-equipped gym. Cardio lovers can hit the CV bikes, treadmills, rowing machines, stepper and cross trainer. Love to lift? There are weight machines and free weights to help you get your pump on.

Do some laps of the pool then rest your tired muscles with a long, relaxing session in the sauna, steam room or Jacuzzi. Or take your fitness outside! There are two tennis courts you can book, a croquet lawn, and bike hire so you can explore the grounds. Or stick with walking and stroll around the hotel’s enchanted woodland.

Training for a 10k? Head to Market Bosworth Country Park which has running trails among the picturesque grassland and woods. Or, for adventure of a more water-based kind, head to Bosworth Water Trust which has lakes for windsurfing, sailing, canoeing and rowing.

Jenny’s Restaurant

The best way to start and end the day? Indulging in the bountiful breakfasts and dinners served buffet-style in Jenny’s. Tuck into a full English breakfast or go continental. At dinner, you can help yourself to whatever takes your fancy from an ever-changing menu of comfort food classics, roasts and veggie options.

Courtyard Bar

Post-spa G&T? Glass of fizz? Sounds ideal. Head to the Courtyard Bar, in a beautiful spot overlooking the stables. On sunny days you can take your favourite tipple or light meal outside. 

Java Lounge Café Bar

Serving snacks, coffees and a cheeky glass of something stronger, Bosworth Hall’s café bar is the perfect place to get your caffeine fix after a bit of spa pampering. 

There sure is! Whether you like to do some laps, or prefer just to lounge alongside it, there’s a lavish 16.8m heated indoor swimming pool, complete with spa bath, sauna and steam room.

Want to make a night of it? We don’t blame you. There are 210 inviting rooms at Bosworth Hall Hotel, with different categories to choose from. Settle into a Single, Double or Twin, upgrade to a Lexx, or really push the boat out with one of the Suites - some boast four-poster beds. 

For residential stays, check-in time is from 3pm. Then, on your day of departure, your room must be vacated by 10am on weekdays, and by 11am at weekends. For spa days, arrival times vary. Best to check your booking confirmation for full details. 

Although Bosworth Hall Hotel has some accessible features and one accessible guest room, it may not be ideal for guests who have walking difficulties or use a wheelchair. There are disabled car parking spaces, lift access and an accessible changing room. But access to the pool is via stairs.

Bosworth Hall was the country seat of the Dixie family (baronets of Bosworth) for nearly three hundred years. It was bought by Leicestershire County Council in 1931 and turned into a hospital, which it remained until the 1980s. Since then, the house has had several owners and is now part of the Britannia hotels group.

Children are welcome at the Bosworth Hall Hotel & Spa. Family rooms sleep up to four, and kids can splash in the pool to their hearts’ content (with the exception of Monday to Wednesday from 5pm to 9pm when it’s reserved for adults-only). The minimum age for the gym, treatments and Jacuzzi is 16.

While kids will love playing croquet, hiring bikes or a game of tennis, further afield you’ll find Twycross Zoo, Drayton Manor and the Battlefield Heritage Centre for fun-packed days out.

Can’t be parted from your pooch? You’re in luck. Pets are allowed at Bosworth Hall Hotel & Spa and can stay for £10 per pet, per night, with a refundable £50 deposit. Guests are allowed up to two pets per room. 

Your dog will love snuffling through the 11 acres of grounds - and you’ll love soaking up the history. Follow the walking trail that leads you to a monument dedicated to Lady Florence Dixie’s dog, Smut! 

Who’s Lady Florence Dixie? She’s a remarkable former resident who lived at  Bosworth Hall 1875 to 1883. An adventurer, writer, and women's rights campaigner, she befriended a dog on her travels to Patagonia who followed her onto the ship that was to bring her home!

There isn’t, but there is some good news for those who like to get active in the fresh air! Bosworth Hall Hotel has a croquet lawn if you fancy a game, or hire tennis courts for a small fee (currently £6 per hour and £3 per half hour). You could also hire bikes (currently £2 per hour or £10 per day) and go exploring.

Can’t live without your clubs? Bosworth Hall is surrounded by great courses. Take your pick from Hinckley, Forest Hill and Kirby Muxloe, three fantastic golf courses all within a ten-mile radius from the hotel.
