Spa was small and some areas not working. Sauna was small- fitting 4 adults in. Steam room wasn't working. Changing room was communal and no frills. Hot tub was ok. Pool was small -a squeeze with 5 people swimming. No outdoor spa area, all indoor. No drinks or refreshments available, no staff serving or attending. Treatment area was understaffed but they were very nice. We were offered a back massage, facial, foot treatment or hand treatment. We both had the back massage which was nice. The hotel was set on gorgeous grounds and the service and food were lovely so as part of a wider package it's was all great but it's not somewhere to go for a full spa day or as a destination Purley for the spa. The hotel, location, food and service made the trip worthwhile. If the hotel invested in updating the spa facilities and offering drinks on the spa area it would feel much more special, less functional and a place to really enjoy and unwind.

The spa treatments choices were really good, something for everyone. The pool was lovely and a nice temperature. The Jacuzzi was really relaxing, could do with a few more showers as there were 4 of us and we had to take turns.

My daughter and I recently had a fantastic spa weekend at Doxford Hall we would highly recommend this Spa on the whole It was absolutely amazing. The staff were very friendly. The room we stayed in was called the Grace darling room. Tt took me back to another era. It was so comfortable beautiful chandeliers and the bathroom was absolutely out of this world. They were just a couple of things that let it down. The evening meal the food was mediocre small portions, spending the night time there could’ve been a little bit more entertainment after the meal. There was nothing really to do and there was no atmosphere we ended up going up to the room and watching something on Netflix. The Hall is stunning the architecture the furnishings so comfortable and very welcoming.

The afternoon tea was delicious and served in a beautiful Georgian room. They catered for vegetarians and my daughter’s gluten allergy. The treatments were fabulous (we both had facials). The pool area is a little dated but the spa afternoon package (£70 for afternoon tea and 1 treatment) was good value for money. The hotel gardens are worth walking around too - especially the huge maze.
