The heart of Bridgewood Manor, Squires Restaurant is known for its warm atmosphere and diverse menu. Start the day with a hearty full English or a lighter continental breakfast, then return in the evening for dishes crafted with flair – from comforting British classics like lamb shepherd’s pie to the chef’s own Trinidadian goat curry.

For something more relaxed, Squires Bar serves up tempting bar meals and light bites throughout the day. It’s the perfect spot for a cocktail, a glass of fizz, or a casual bite with friends. When the weather’s fine, you can even take your drink outdoors onto the patio. We’ll drink to that!

There sure is! Whether you like to do some laps, or prefer just to lounge alongside it on a heated lounger, there’s a 12‑metre heated indoor swimming pool, and it’s complemented by a sauna and steam room for full-on relaxation. 

A nice extra touch is that the hotel provides free wi‑fi by the pool, so you can catch up on reading, stream music or scroll while you relax – making it easy to blend leisure with a little light connectivity!

Rooms are attractively arranged around a peaceful inner courtyard and come with all the essentials – free Wi‑Fi, flat‑screen TVs, tea and coffee facilities and cosy beds to sink into after a day of exploring Medway.

Yes it is, with four parking spaces reserved for Blue Badge holders – two at the front entrance and two at the back. There’s also a convenient drop‑off and pick‑up area right outside the main entrance, with automatic doors leading directly into the hotel.

The hotel has dedicated accessible rooms equipped with fully adapted wet rooms, pull‑cord alarms and all the amenities of a standard room/ These rooms can be arranged as twin or double, and some have interconnecting options, making them ideal for carers or family members travelling together.

Inside, the hotel’s layout is designed with ease of movement in mind. The leisure club and spa are located on the ground floor, with a dedicated accessible toilet and changing area, as well as a wheel in shower room with drop down seat and appropriate grab rails. Access to the poolside area is down five steps, but staff are happy to assist. There are steps with a handrail into the shallow end of the pool.

Check‑in is at 3pm and check‑out is by 11am on your day of departure. Guests can only access the leisure club and spa facilities between those times, so you’ll need to have checked in before using the pool, sauna or steam room.

Here for a spa day or treatment? Arrival times vary, so it’s best to check your booking confirmation. But the spa asks guests to arrive 15 minutes before their appointment to complete consultation forms and to ease into relaxation.

Guests who are currently undergoing cancer treatment, or who have recently completed treatment, are asked to wait until they have been in remission for five years before receiving therapies. This approach is designed with care, offering peace of mind that every treatment is delivered in the safest possible way. 

Tucked away in the leafy outskirts of the historic town of Chatham, Bridgewood Manor is perfectly placed for exploring the charms of Kent. Surrounded by countryside and pretty scenery, it feels like a peaceful escape. Yet it’s wonderfully easy to reach, with the M2 just minutes away.

Best of all, you’re right in the heart of Medway, a region steeped in history and literary heritage. Cobbled streets, castles, riverside walks and Dickensian inspiration are all on your doorstep!

Absolutely! Bridgewood Manor makes it easy for families to feel at home. Spacious family rooms let everyone sleep in comfort, while children’s menus ensure even the youngest guests are catered for.

Children under 16 aren’t permitted to receive spa treatments or use the sauna and steam room, but they can enjoy the swimming pool during dedicated splash times if they’re accompanied by an adult. These sessions run from 8am to 10am and again from 6pm to 8pm, Monday through Saturday. On Sundays, children can swim between 8am and 9am in the morning, and from 5pm to 7pm in the evening.

If you’re looking for family adventures, Bridgewood Manor is a brilliant base. Rochester’s castle is perfect for little explorers, while the Historic Dockyard Chatham offers interactive exhibits and historic warships that kids love. Fort Amherst’s tunnels and ramparts make history come alive, and riverside walks at Upnor Castle are ideal for a family stroll. 

Can’t be parted from your pooch? You’re in luck. Pets are allowed at Bridgewood Manor Hotel & Spa. For a small charge of £20 per stay, pets are welcome in guest bedrooms. They can’t set a paw in the restaurant. But with so many dog-friendly dining areas in the rest of the hotel, they won’t feel left out.

Want to use the spa on your stay? Let reception know that you’ll be leaving your dog in your room unattended. They’ll take your phone number so they can contact you if there’s any problems. But outside you’ll find plenty of space for both you and your pet to relax. The hotel’s leafy surroundings and nearby walking routes make it easy to stretch your legs together.

There isn’t a golf course at Bridgewood Manor Hotel & Spa, but you’re in luck if you fancy a round. Several excellent courses are just a short drive away and many welcome visitors on a pay‑and‑play basis.

The closest option is Cobtree Manor Golf Course, a tree‑lined 18‑hole par‑69 course with a driving range, footgolf and a café. It’s only about ten minutes from the hotel. If you’d like more variety, Upchurch River Valley Golf Course offers three different courses and a friendly clubhouse atmosphere, while Snodhurst Bottom Pitch & Putt is ideal for families or beginners looking for something light‑hearted.
