Built in 1921, the hotel has been sympathetically converted. It boasts 63 well-appointed guest rooms, a pampering Health & Beauty Club, with excellent facilities and luxurious treatments, as well as stylish and elegant dining courtesy of the Laura Ashely-designed restaurant and tearoom.

My wife and I, needed to relax and unwind after a very busy year so far. After our experience at the Southcrest Manor Spa we were not disappointed. The manager and staff member were both friendly and attentive. We were made to feel immediately welcomed. The hot tub was amazing. The pamper treatments were so good that we both felt relaxed all day. I am looking forward to coming back and trying the facial treatments.

I visited with a good friend to celebrate our birthdays. We had a spa break and half spa day, together, which meant our packages included afternoon tea, dinner and breakfast. All were lovely, really good’s attention to detail and great quality. In terms of the spa, the environment is not luxurious, the changing space is small, the relaxation room is not relaxing and the overall finish is not great. We weren’t met on arrival (unmanned reception desk), staff didn’t introduce themselves or welcome and orientate us. However, the treatments were of a good standard overall, and the staff were attentive during that time (on the whole). A little refinement would go a long way! All that said we had a lovely time catching up!
