Nothing beats a walk in the countryside, and the good news for keen walkers is that the famed Cotswold Way is within reach of the hotel. In fact, there are a number of iconic walks to be found nearby.
Oxfordshire is home to a great many cycle and jogging routes, and of course the hotel’s picturesque grounds lend themselves perfectly to exercise. And once you’re ready to unwind after all that exertion, the indoor pool will be ready to soothe you.
Delicious seasonal menus packed with delights make every mealtime a journey of total pleasure here. The emphasis is on simple, hearty fare served and savoured amid an atmosphere that’s informal and elegant.
If you love nothing more than wonderful food, beamed ceilings, roaring log fires and flagstone floors, you’ll want to visit time and time again. And if you’re in the mood for an indulgent classic, try the mouth-wateringly wicked afternoon tea.

The spa at Minster Mill is only 2 years old and still looks stunning.
Staff were very friendly and the treatments were fantastic, especially the invigorating foot massage.
We booked a Saturday afternoon spa session which included afternoon tea and that was served in the bar and delicious.Abigail Hynard, Biggleswade

The Old Swan & Minster Mill is surrounded by gorgeous countryside but it was really easy to find. I spent a day there recently and I think my next visit will include an overnight stay because I’d love to spend more time there. I had a couple of treatments in the spa and they were fab, especially because I’d been feeling pretty stressed out beforehand. By the time I came home I was as chilled out as I could be. The lunch in the restaurant was fantastic and the atmosphere of the whole place was perfect for making you relax. I’m really looking forward to going back again, perhaps with a couple of girlfriends for a weekend of pampering. Can’t wait!

Relaxing Spa Experience

Whilst the spa and changing area is bijou it has all the facilities you need and we spent a relaxing hour and a half in there before heading for lunch. The lunch in the restaurant was lovely with attentive and efficient staff and a beautiful dining room. My aromatherapy massage by Lucy was excellent and my sister in law thought the same of her pedicure. Enjoyed the whole experience.

Loved it all apart from:
Changing area way too small for purpose.
Hand towels not replenished in the one loo.
Not the easiest locker locking system to master.
The fine dining lunch would not be to everyone's taste and indeed 2 of the 4 of us did not enjoy the lunch experience.
Drinks very expensive.Sylvia Benfield, Chippingnorton
Small relaxing spa

We booked on a spa package that included 2x 30 minutes treatment, 2 hours use of the spa and lunch.
The spa itself is lovely - all facilities were clean and modern. Slightly disappointed that the steam room wasn’t working during our visit and there isn’t a ‘hot tub’ it is Jets in the pool.
However, it is very small, there is just one shower and limited changing space. Treatments were good, and for the price you pay it’s worth it.
The lunch was great, proper pub food, although the spa package menu is quite limited. As two fussy eaters we ordered mains off the ‘main lunch menu’ and paid full price for this, but the quality was great. If I went again I would go for afternoon tea!Rebecca Wright, Swindon

Nice place but very poor ploughman's.
Been here a few times. Lovely location and good atmosphere. However very disappointed indeed with the ploughman's lunch we ordered. £ 20 for a meal for two that was barely enough for one. Very poor......Read more
Mediocre food at Michelin prices
