About
Many of the finest retreats in the UK were once large country houses, and the glorious Mar Hall Golf and Spa Resort is no exception. Located amid 240 acres of truly beautiful woodland, this former Edwardian mansion is dramatic, decadent and delightful, making it perfect for days of indulgence and escapes that soothe the soul from the moment you arrive.
The former estate of the Earl of Mar, this 19th-century Gothic mansion was designed by the same architect who created the British Museum. It once served as a hospital during World War II but a magnificent restoration has transformed it into a luxurious hotel that’s a true A-list favourite, with Beyoncé, Harry Styles and Robbie Williams among the famous names in the guest book.
The exciting metropolis of Glasgow is just a few miles away, so be sure to explore the elegant architecture, the vibrant nightlife and the cultural landmarks of one of the world’s great cities. Mar Hall is close to the Clyde, where lovely riverside walks are a must, and to the north the spectacular Loch Lomond is just a short drive away.
With more than 50 sumptuous bedrooms, Mar Hall Golf and Spa Reort is the perfect spot for an overnight idyll. The spa’s eight gorgeous treatment rooms represent a serene sanctuary, and there’s a wonderful gym for when you’re feeling energised. You’ll also fall in love with the magnificent golf course here, not to mention the rightly celebrated restaurant.
