First time in 16 years my wife and I were able to get away and leave the kids at home for a spa break weekend. The service, room and spa was spot on. The massage had us both feeling great and revitalised. Coming back home everything including the kids were still in one piece, so our thoughts are we will definitely be going back another weekend. 10 out of 10.

The treatments were lovely, as were the therapists. Really enjoyed the actual spa. Much nicer than the hotel. Rooms were tired with cheap furnishings. The shower was great but there was mould in the grout on the floor. Hotel staff were pleasant. Other guests were noisy, kept me awake. Restaurant service was poor, several of our orders were incorrect. Missing cutlery, having to ask repeatedly for cutlery as the first person didn’t bring it when asked. Fish was overcooked and mushy. I expected better for the price of the food. Breakfast was ok, but definitely not exceptional. The restaurant staff were pleasant.

We had a nice morning. Wasn’t too busy. But was a shame there weren’t many loungers. Mostly just chairs. We arrived at 10 for rest and reset relaxing morning. However at 11 am there was an aqua aerobics class in the pool. About 15 people taking up the biggest part of the pool for 45 mins with calling out and loud music. Not relaxing and we couldn’t easily swim. We weren’t told about the class when we arrived. My robe definitely wasn’t white. Not dirty just badly discoloured which wasn’t particularly nice to wear. Definitely need to renew their robes esp for a 4* hotel spa. Lunch was limited. Only a choice of different flavour wraps. On booking, I informed them that we needed gluten free wraps. It was in the confirmation email. At lunch there were no gf wraps. So we had a chicken Caesar salad which was literally lettuce chicken a little Parmesan and dressing. The rest of lunch was ok. On the whole we enjoyed our morning but the finer points need looking at.

Staff welcoming, robes were worn and yellow, need replacing, gym was good, steam good, nice swimming pool, needs a Jacuzzi, also not enough beds around the pool and annoying people left their towels on loungers whilst away from the spa. Nice touch was cooled lemon water by the poolside. Lunch was great, although the restaurant needs a complete overhaul, worn out chairs and decor! All in all not bad value for money!
