If you’re looking for a workout with wow-factor, the newly restored DSQ Fitness Health Club really delivers. This high-performance space has dedicated zones for cardio, resistance, weights and mobility, plus studios offering a variety of classes, from yoga to Box Fit.

There are tennis courts, squash courts and even a Reformer Pilates studio. After your session you can swim in the beautifully restored 17-metre pool, or head into the new infrared sauna, stonebath and salt room to soothe your muscles and reset your mind.

Prefer to get your steps up in the sunshine? Just a five-minute walk takes you to the River Thames, where you can follow the Embankment path towards the grand architecture of Westminster or the art-filled galleries of Tate Britain. If you prefer a bit of greenery, a brisk walk across Chelsea Bridge leads you straight into the vast, leafy expanses of Battersea Park.

When the sun sets, the vibe shifts from a relaxed daytime hang-out to a chic evening social hub. There’s even an outdoor terrace for sundowners, from a crisp glass of wine or a signature cocktail. 

There is, and it’s a beautiful oasis of peace and quiet in the heart of the city. Forget tiny, decorative plunge pools you often find in hotel basements. This is a proper 17-metre indoor pool that has just emerged from a stunning top-to-toe restoration. Freshly reopened as of March 2026, the pool is the glittering centrepiece of the health club.

The pool’s most striking new feature isn’t actually new at all – it’s the restored glass-block skylights. These original 1930s features were covered up for decades, but the recent renovation has uncovered them, flooding the 17-metre pool with natural light once again.

Keep an eye out for the pool’s most famous resident, too – the historic dolphin statue perched by the water. You might notice it looks a bit more like a mythical creature than a modern-day dolphin, with its scales and webbed fins. That’s because it’s a classic heraldic dolphin, a style popular in the 1930s. It’s been a silent witness to decades of history, including the morning laps of Princess Diana, who was once a regular at the club.

Technically, there is – but only if you’re looking to buy an apartment! While the historic Dolphin Square was once famous for its serviced apartments and hotel, it has since transitioned into a private residential estate. This means there isn’t a traditional hotel on-site for a spa sleepover anymore. However, since you’re right in the heart of Pimlico, you are surrounded by boutique hotels and budget options just a short walk away.

You’ll find Dolphin House Spa tucked away within the quiet grounds of the historic Dolphin Square estate in Pimlico. This riverside sanctuary offers a little slice of serenity in the heart of the city, perfectly positioned between the upscale streets of Chelsea and the grand architecture of Westminster. Just a short walk from the Thames, it’s a hidden gem that feels worlds away from the London hustle.

There’s plenty to explore right on your doorstep. After your treatment, take a stroll through the estate’s Moroccan-inspired gardens or wander over to Pimlico Road, famous for its high-end antiques. If you’re visiting on a Saturday, the nearby Orange Square hosts the Pimlico Road Farmers’ Market, where you can pick up organic treats and fresh flowers (or just take photos for your socials!).

From wartime heroes like Charles de Gaulle to screen icons and even royals, the Square has long been a city sanctuary for celebs and high society. In its heyday, the Square was the ultimate London address, where residents enjoyed unparalleled levels of service from an army of white-gloved staff – they could even leave their shoes outside their doors at night to be polished for the morning.

Princess Diana was a regular visitor to the swimming pool – she was often seen heading to the club for her morning swims to escape the paparazzi. After a major restoration, the swimming pool officially reopened on 30 March 2026. The new Dolphin Square Spa followed with a grand opening in June 2026, featuring a contemporary thermal suite that includes a salt room, infrared sauna, experience shower, relaxation room and stone bath. 

Sorry! Spa packages here are for guests aged 18 and over, so treatments and the thermal suite are for adults‑only. However, the pool is open to Dolphin Square residents and does have designated children’s swim times. If you’d prefer a completely peaceful dip, it’s best to avoid the pool between 8am and 10am, and 4pm and 6pm each day.

Hold the doggie massage! While four-legged besties are welcome in the Terrace Bar & Café, they can’t join you in the spa.
