Beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting. The spa and hotel staff were very attentive, we arrived late but the staff were brilliant at getting us relaxed and comfortable and into our spa treatments very quick so we didn’t miss out. We had the floatation experience which was really relaxing and rejuvenating. After we had lunch and checked into the hotel. We then headed to the pool, unfortunately it was too cold for me as it took my breath away when I got in so I wasn’t able to swim much or use the jet pools, we used the sauna and steam room instead. It was ashame as a nicely heated pool would have made all the different. We left the spa early than expected instead and had a walk around the lake and went for a cocktail at the outside bar. Dinner & breakfast was really good. Overall we had a lovely stay, highly recommended they just need to get the pool temperature right for it to be amazing.

We booked quite late with great help from SpaSeekers. Unfortunately, although the Spa contacted us to explain they couldn’t provide one of our chosen massages and discuss alternatives, it was not mentioned that we needed to arrive earlier to enjoy our cream tea element. On arrival, the reception staff member was lovely and friendly, once she realised we had not had communication regarding the cream tea she offered several options and we agreed to collect after our massage and take away. Dolly provided the massages - which were both wonderful and really relaxing. The spa facilities were not just for the spa - which we had not realised prior to booking. The pool, gym, sauna and steam rooms were also being utilized by hotel guests and locals with membership - due to this there were several children who as children are at times were being quite noisy. Normally this is not a problem but it did lead to a less relaxing environment and my hard of hearing husband and I struggled to chat quietly and enjoy our relaxation time.

Thoroughly enjoyed the pool and all it offered including the steam room and Jacuzzi. I was a little disappointed with flotation experience, it wasn’t really long enough to fully relax - but that may have been because the air conditioning was louder than the soothing music which could hardly be heard so was fully conscious of it the whole time. It was nice to try it though.

We were allocated 2 hours in the spa before our massage treatments - 1 hour is usually fine for me - bit underwhelmed with the pool tbh - too hot to use steam/sauna - my leg/feet/scalp massage was great/very relaxing and daughter enjoyed her back massage/facial.
