About

From the dreaming spires of its county town to its quaint honey-hued villages, superb retail therapy to stunning stately homes, Oxfordshire blends rural splendour with city sophistication like no other English county. And in the middle of it all, surrounded by 134 acres of rolling hills, you’ll find the superb Bicester Hotel Golf & Spa resort.

A luxury hideaway crammed with more leisure opportunities than you can swing a golf club at, the family-owned estate offers a complete escape from the hustle and bustle. Situated at the end of a tree-lined road, the hotel is contemporary in style both inside and out, with purpose-built resort-style buildings that allow all areas to feel extra spacious.

The resort's 18-hole course is one of the best in the country. But if you’re not a fan of the sport of kings, don’t worry. There’s so much to do here you’ll be wishing there were more hours in the day. Fitness fans will love the health club with its 20m indoor pool, gym and studio. Get competitive with a game of tennis or padel, try a spot of paddle boarding at the outdoor swimming lake. There’s even an assault course and running track at the on-site Performance Centre.

But if all that sounds a bit too energetic, there’s nothing stopping you from just drifting round its Forest of Wellbeing spa, cocooned in your snuggly robe and slippers. Seven luxurious treatment rooms offer marine-based Thalgo treatments to rejuvenate body and soul, plus there’s a thermal suite and even a tranquil private spa garden with an outdoor hot tub.

The famous Bicester Village outlet shopping centre is just a couple of miles from here, so prepare for some extensive retail therapy. If you’re a history buff, head to Rousham House and explore the home and grounds. In nearby Oxford, you’ll find a number of wonderful landmarks, including the Bodleian Library and the Radcliffe Camera.

After a long day of shopping, spa-ing and spoiling yourself, you can enjoy a delicious meal in the cosy ambiance of Grays Restaurant before floating off to bed. With more than 50 exquisite bedrooms, overnight stays are every bit as memorable as the stunning resort itself.

The Spa & Wellness at Bicester Hotel Golf & Spa

Renew, relax, revitalise at the stunning Forest of Wellbeing Spa at Bicester Hotel Golf & Spa. Whether you’re looking to get pampered, recharge, or look good,, you’ll be longing for more hours in the day to enjoy all the well-being offerings available.

First stop, the pool. At 20m it’s long enough for laps, or just pull up a comfy bed and lay back for some poolside lounging. Flit from spa pools to steam room, to sauna, and back again. And if the foot spas doesn’t tempt you, the experience showers surely will.

A quick slipper shuffle takes you to the private spa garden, where you can unwind in the fresh air. Feel the sun on your face on a lounger, or try an outdoor hot tub or sauna.

Then, when it’s time for your treatment, there’s a menu of Thalgo treatments designed to spoil you, whether you’re seeking beautiful skin or inner calm. Pure and natural, and made with soothing marine minerals, they’re deeply nurturing for your whole wellbeing.

Lay back in the relaxation room to drift off after your treatment. But since you're going to be feeling amazing, you might as well look it, too. From shiny nails that reflect your inner light to waxing so you can feel silky smooth for weeks on end, this Bicester spa hits the spot when it comes to taking care of you.

The Gym & Fitness at Bicester Hotel Golf & Spa

If your pampering break isn't complete without some form of work out, Bicester Hotel Golf & Spa has plenty of ways to help you sweat in style. Inside or outside, on the studio floor, on the assault course or even on a paddleboard - the fitness facilities here will (literally) take your breath away.

Whether you’re a serious athlete who runs triathlons for kicks, or a yoga bunny who prefers to feel zen rather than the burn, you’ll find everything you need to reach your full fitness potential.

The hotel’s health club has a gym packed with Matrix resistance and cardiovascular equipment to keep you entertained as you workout. Watch TV as you pedal, plod or pump, or connect your workouts to MyFitnessPal to see all the calories you’re burning.

Divided into two goal-oriented studios, the hotel offers 75 fun fitness classes

each week. Bounce, groove and pump in the high-impact, high-octane Studio One, with a sound system pumping out the tunes for some dance-inspired classes. Like something a bit more mindful? Studio Two will be your home from home. Head here for Ashtanga, Tai Chi or even a soul-soothing sound bath.

Serious fitness-istas should pay a visit to the Performance Centre. Open to everyone, its range of equipment will appeal to training enthusiasts, amateur weight-lifters and elite professional athletes, as well as those looking to improve their fitness.

Get training for your next Tough Mudder at the Performance Centre’s assault course, try your hand at some paddleboarding or open-water swimming at the 200m long purpose built lake, or sweat, strut or stroll the outdoor running track.

But there’s no ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach to fitness here. Even competitive types are well-catered for thanks to the on-site parkland golf course, padel courts and tennis courts.

Restaurants & Food at Bicester Hotel Golf & Spa

If all the fitness and pampering on offer wasn’t enough to make you feel spoiled, Bicester Hotel Golf & Spa is also home to some spectacular spaces in which to eat, drink and be merry. So where should you head for your post-massage cocktail?

Grays Restaurant

Grays Restaurant offers more than just à la carte dining - it's an experience to savour. With breathtaking views over the lake and golfing greens, enjoy afternoon teas and exquisite dinners, served alongside an expertly crafted cocktail (or two). Steaks and seafood are cooked to perfection, but rest assured that everything is local and sustainable. Veg and herbs are grown on the premises wherever possible, the fish they purchase is traceable to the source, while meat is bought from local butchers using only local farms.

Bar Nineteen

Fact. The 19th hole is always the best part of any golf course.. And with stunning views across the putting green and the fairways beyond, you’ll feel like you’re actually on the course! Drink in all the action outside with a coffee or something bubbly in hand. And, from the Grand Prix to Wimbledon, if there’s any big sporting occasion to be had, chances are they’ll be showing it on one of their huge TV screens. With a modern, fun vibe, enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner along with a cocktail.

We were quite impressed when we entered the reception area, it was decorated well and looked very clean. We went to the spa and got told to go to our afternoon tea then come back. We went to the restaurant for our afternoon tea and the room was nicely set out and clean. We were disappointed when the tea came as we asked for no mustard or mayo when booking and the sandwiches came with a mustard mayo on a ham sandwich. The scones were very nice however. There was no staff around to assist us with this and had to go looking for someone. The spa area is good and clean, but if you’re after a quite relaxing time be warned children are allowed in at 4pm. Generally good spa but disappointed that we did not get what we paid for as there was no explanation if we could access the gym or classes.

Arrived early at the hotel it was very good as they said the room was ready before the scheduled time. We checked in and went to the room. There were a couple of things missing for example 3rd bathrobe and slippers, a glass for the bottle that came in the price. Looking in the bathroom there was a third towel missing, there was a plug hole of hair in the bath, I called the maid and she had a grumble about the room had not been checked over. Overall, the staff were very helpful, the 3 course meal was very nice and the breakfast the next day was very good and tasty. The pool and spa were very nice. It was clean and tidy and there was some nice parts to the hotel. Nice and close to the Bicester Village shopping complex.

We arrived at the venue, beautiful entrance to the hotel and spa. The reception area is gorgeous. We checked in at reception and we're directed to the restaurant for our afternoon tea. We were welcomed and promptly seated. The staff were lovely and very friendly. We didn't finish our tea and the remaining cakes/sweet treats were boxed up for us and placed in the fridge ready for us to collect to take home after using the spa. The staff were welcoming, polite and cheerful and explained all we needed to know/do to enjoy our spa visit. We enjoyed the sauna, steam room, Jacuzzis, swimming pool and especially the garden spa. We really had a wonderful afternoon and evening. This was a belated birthday present for my son's girlfriend, and she thoroughly enjoyed it. We picked up our afternoon tea boxes and left for home, relaxed and satisfied. What a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Good choice of venue and at a great price.

Booked a day with my friend to catch up and relax. It was spot on. Great pool, steam and sauna and two Jacuzzis. We even braved the elements and went to the outdoor spa and jacuzzi. Thoroughly recommend. Good value and great day.

Was easy to book through SpaSeekers and for a discounted price than on the business. The Spa was clean and fresh and had great facilities. The treatments were very high quality and the beautician was lovely, attentive and had magic hands. All staff were professional. Nothing was too much. I’d like to add only water is free even with buffet lunch and if you have allergies although you notify before hand you still only get food from the buffet that you can eat so for dessert fruit was all I could have, no cakes or anything else were pre-made as they we’re expecting me.

What is there to do near Bicester Hotel Golf & Spa?

The big draw has to be the luxurious designer outlet centre in Bicester Village. In fact if you’re a fan of all things retail, the hotel offers special spa and shopping packages which come with additional discounts and a VIP pass!

Is Bicester Hotel Golf & Spa family friendly?

It is. Many rooms can accommodate z-beds for younger family members, or opt for interconnecting rooms that allow you all to spread out.

While treatments and thermal experiences in the spa are for those aged 16 and over, kids can splash in the indoor pool between 8am and 10pm and 4pm to 6pm every day. Over at the outdoor swimming lake, the minimum age is 10 and your little water babies need to be able to swim 200m comfortably.

Is Bicester Hotel Golf & Spa dog-friendly?

Sorry. Bicester Hotel Golf & Spa resort is a doggy-free zone. Pets can’t set a paw in the hotel unless they’re specifically trained as service dogs - for example guide dogs for the blind or hard of hearing.

Does Bicester Hotel Golf & Spa have a golf course?

Love to spa and par? You’re in luck. A little birdie told us that the Bicester Hotel Golf & Spa resort does indeed have its own golf course, and a fabulous one at that. Recently renovated to add new bunkers, water hazards and some wonderfully large, tricky greens, this par 71 course boasts 36 tee structures and seven lake systems.

There’s an interactive driving range for those looking to improve their swing, and a clubhouse called Bar Nineteen which overlooks the stunning parkland course. You don’t need to be a member to play golf here, just book your tee-time with the Pro Shop to pay and play. Or why not try a spa package which includes a round?
