About

From the dreaming spires of its county town to its quaint honey-hued villages, superb retail therapy to stunning stately homes, Oxfordshire blends rural splendour with city sophistication like no other English county. And in the middle of it all, surrounded by 134 acres of rolling hills, you’ll find the superb Bicester Hotel Golf & Spa resort.

A luxury hideaway crammed with more leisure opportunities than you can swing a golf club at, the family-owned estate offers a complete escape from the hustle and bustle. Situated at the end of a tree-lined road, the hotel is contemporary in style both inside and out, with purpose-built resort-style buildings that allow all areas to feel extra spacious.

The resort's 9-hole course is one of the best in the country. But if you’re not a fan of the sport of kings, don’t worry. There’s so much to do here you’ll be wishing there were more hours in the day. Fitness fans will love the health club with its 20m indoor pool, gym and studio. Get competitive with a game of tennis or padel, try a spot of paddle boarding at the outdoor swimming lake. There’s even an assault course and running track at the on-site Performance Centre.

But if all that sounds a bit too energetic, there’s nothing stopping you from just drifting round its Forest of Wellbeing spa, cocooned in your snuggly robe and slippers. Seven luxurious treatment rooms offer marine-based Thalgo treatments to rejuvenate body and soul, plus there’s a thermal suite and even a tranquil private spa garden with an outdoor hot tub.

The famous Bicester Village outlet shopping centre is just a couple of miles from here, so prepare for some extensive retail therapy. If you’re a history buff, head to Rousham House and explore the home and grounds. In nearby Oxford, you’ll find a number of wonderful landmarks, including the Bodleian Library and the Radcliffe Camera.

After a long day of shopping, spa-ing and spoiling yourself, you can enjoy a delicious meal in the cosy ambiance of Grays Restaurant before floating off to bed. With more than 50 exquisite bedrooms, overnight stays are every bit as memorable as the stunning resort itself.

The Spa & Wellness at Bicester Hotel Golf & Spa

Renew, relax, revitalise at the stunning Forest of Wellbeing Spa at Bicester Hotel Golf & Spa. Whether you’re looking to get pampered, recharge, or look good,, you’ll be longing for more hours in the day to enjoy all the well-being offerings available.

First stop, the pool. At 20m it’s long enough for laps, or just pull up a comfy bed and lay back for some poolside lounging. Flit from spa pools to steam room, to sauna, and back again. And if the foot spas doesn’t tempt you, the experience showers surely will.

A quick slipper shuffle takes you to the private spa garden, where you can unwind in the fresh air. Feel the sun on your face on a lounger, or try an outdoor hot tub or sauna.

Then, when it’s time for your treatment, there’s a menu of Thalgo treatments designed to spoil you, whether you’re seeking beautiful skin or inner calm. Pure and natural, and made with soothing marine minerals, they’re deeply nurturing for your whole wellbeing.

Lay back in the relaxation room to drift off after your treatment. But since you're going to be feeling amazing, you might as well look it, too. From shiny nails that reflect your inner light to waxing so you can feel silky smooth for weeks on end, this Bicester spa hits the spot when it comes to taking care of you.

The Gym & Fitness at Bicester Hotel Golf & Spa

If your pampering break isn't complete without some form of work out, Bicester Hotel Golf & Spa has plenty of ways to help you sweat in style. Inside or outside, on the studio floor, on the assault course or even on a paddleboard - the fitness facilities here will (literally) take your breath away.

Whether you’re a serious athlete who runs triathlons for kicks, or a yoga bunny who prefers to feel zen rather than the burn, you’ll find everything you need to reach your full fitness potential.

The hotel’s health club has a gym packed with Matrix resistance and cardiovascular equipment to keep you entertained as you workout. Watch TV as you pedal, plod or pump, or connect your workouts to MyFitnessPal to see all the calories you’re burning.

Divided into two goal-oriented studios, the hotel offers 75 fun fitness classes

each week. Bounce, groove and pump in the high-impact, high-octane Studio One, with a sound system pumping out the tunes for some dance-inspired classes. Like something a bit more mindful? Studio Two will be your home from home. Head here for Ashtanga, Tai Chi or even a soul-soothing sound bath.

Serious fitness-istas should pay a visit to the Performance Centre. Open to everyone, its range of equipment will appeal to training enthusiasts, amateur weight-lifters and elite professional athletes, as well as those looking to improve their fitness.

Get training for your next Tough Mudder at the Performance Centre’s assault course, try your hand at some paddleboarding or open-water swimming at the 200m long purpose built lake, or sweat, strut or stroll the outdoor running track.

But there’s no ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach to fitness here. Even competitive types are well-catered for thanks to the on-site parkland golf course, padel courts and tennis courts.

Restaurants & Food at Bicester Hotel Golf & Spa

If all the fitness and pampering on offer wasn’t enough to make you feel spoiled, Bicester Hotel Golf & Spa is also home to some spectacular spaces in which to eat, drink and be merry. So where should you head for your post-massage cocktail?

Grays Restaurant

Grays Restaurant offers more than just à la carte dining - it's an experience to savour. With breathtaking views over the lake and golfing greens, enjoy afternoon teas and exquisite dinners, served alongside an expertly crafted cocktail (or two). Steaks and seafood are cooked to perfection, but rest assured that everything is local and sustainable. Veg and herbs are grown on the premises wherever possible, the fish they purchase is traceable to the source, while meat is bought from local butchers using only local farms.

Bar Nineteen

Fact. The 19th hole is always the best part of any golf course.. And with stunning views across the putting green and the fairways beyond, you’ll feel like you’re actually on the course! Drink in all the action outside with a coffee or something bubbly in hand. And, from the Grand Prix to Wimbledon, if there’s any big sporting occasion to be had, chances are they’ll be showing it on one of their huge TV screens. With a modern, fun vibe, enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner along with a cocktail.

Very enjoyable experience, reception was a little confusing. We were give dressing gowns, towels and slippers on arrival, which meant we had to take them into afternoon tea and treatments. A lot to carry around. We didn’t realise there was an outside space, so a brief tour or map would have been helpful.

This was booked as a special treat for my daughter for her hard work in recent GCSEs. It was her first spa experience, safe to say it’s just the start. She loved every minute of the pampering making her feel very special and grown up. Everything we experienced from the Jacuzzi to the hot tub to the delicious lunch was ‘fancy’. A great first spa experience!

Lovely spa with good facilities. Treatments excellent (great body scrub) and 2 course lunch (limited choice) but delicious.

Love the spa facilities especially outdoors in the sun. Entrance to spa has changed as has the ‘buffet’ lunch which is now a waitress served small selection from their Bar 19 menu rather than self service. You choose two out of three courses. Staff were polite and helpful and our 30 minutes wait for a starter came with an apology. The new meal arrangements could disappoint people that have been previously as it had been one of the highlights of the day. Limited vegetarian choice.
