Once home to one of Europe’s finest private art collections, The Athenaeum now has a rather different treasure tucked away beneath it – a boutique spa made for indulging! So grab your favourite person, slip into fluffy robes and settle into its cosy double treatment room, where you’ll each enjoy two 30-minute rituals while the bustle of Mayfair carries on happily without you.
Unwind for an hour in the thermal suite, moving between the cedar hot tub, sauna and steam room. Then it’s upstairs to 116, the hotel’s two AA Rosette-winning restaurant, for the sweetest finish: a classic afternoon tea of finger sandwiches, scones and dainty cakes, with a whole bottle of Prosecco to share between you. Every bite and every bubble adds up to a masterpiece of indulgence.
