Spa‑day lunch or brunch included? You’ll be heading to the Clock Tower where robes (and dogs) are given a warm welcome. With the laid-back feel of a sports bar, you’ll tuck into crowd-pleasing classics like steak frites, or something lighter like sandwiches and wraps. 

Romana’s 

For elegant evening dining from 6pm onwards, or a hearty lunch on Sunday, Romana’s brings its Mediterranean twist to the hotel. Tuck into pizza, pasta or Welsh lamb chops served Italian-style, in this beautifully restored dining room.

There is, so don’t forget to pack your cossie. Life’s better by the blissfully warm indoor pool at Tre-Ysgawen. Some 16m long, it’s perfect for laps, and around the water you’ll find plenty of comfy loungers to relax on after your swim.

When you’re ready to turn the relaxation up a notch, the Jacuzzi is just a few steps away. But the thermal suite is the final cherry on top, with its herbal sauna, experience shower, ice fountain and salt inhalation room.

Tre‑Ysgawen Hall is pretty much in the middle of the Isle of Anglesey, which is just off the north‑west coast of Wales. The hotel is just a short drive from the market town of Llangefni, so you’d better bring a phrasebook! Llangefni is one of the most Welsh‑speaking communities on the island, so you’ll hear the language spoken everywhere!

Llangefni itself is compact but full of personality, with places like Oriel Môn, the island’s flagship art gallery and museum, and the leafy Dingle Nature Reserve offering easy ways to while away an hour or two. 

No, there’s no strict dress code and the hotel feels delightfully informal and unstuffy. You don’t even need to get dressed for lunch if you’re here on a spa day – robes and slippers are welcome in the laid-back Clock Tower bar and dining area.

It is! If you’re staying at the hotel with your family, little ones aged six to 16 can use the pool between 9am and 11am and 3pm and 5pm each day. There needs to be a ratio of two children per adult. Yes, it is. Tre‑Ysgawen Hall wants to make visits as comfortable as possible for guests who need a little extra accessibility support. While the main hotel entrance has steps, there is an alternative step‑free route via the spa reception, and staff are happy to assist. 

Coming for a spa day?The spa reception and wellness areas are accessible via this sloping entrance, making it easier to reach the pool, thermal facilities and treatment spaces. Staying overnight? The hotel also offers ground‑floor and accessible bedroom options, which can be requested when booking.

Better unpack their little doggy suitcase. Tre‑Ysgawen Hall is not a dog‑friendly hotel. But while they can’t stay overnight or join you in the spa, they do welcome dogs in the Clock Tower bar and dining area.

Tre‑Ysgawen Hall doesn’t have its own golf course, there’s a pay‑and‑play course just a short drive away. Bull Bay Golf Club is about 20 minutes away from Tre‑Ysgawen Hall and it’s Anglesey’s most scenic 18‑hole course.
