The spa had only been open for 9 months so was all very new and very clean. It was at the top of one of the hotel buildings so there was no noise from other rooms. The ladies were very welcoming on arrival and our massages were wonderful. We had intense strokes and a Bali massage. We used the sauna and steam room too which were lovely, and were provided with towels and slippers. The steam room just fitted two people in and doubled up as a shower but the sauna was a dedicated sauna and slightly larger. Overall an excellent experience for 2 people and would use again.

Stylish, classy and elegant…
My husband and I enjoyed a lovely long weekend at the Roseate Reading a couple of weeks ago, and we were both mightily impressed by the place. It’s a beautiful building, full of lovely little touches, and it was in the perfect location for exploring the local area. The bedroom was really comfortable, the spa was so relaxing and the restaurant was idyllic. I loved the fact that we both felt completely relaxed from the first few minutes, and I have to say I think we’ll be making a return visit in the not too distant future.

Mixed review. Treatment was amazing, hotel was amazing, food and restaurant service was not good!
The massage was incredible - This made the trip. The hotel was lovely, room was nice and hotel fab. Then it went a bit downhill, we booked our evening meal at 8pm, there was a lot of Christmas parties going on in the restaurant, none of the staff seemed to know anything about a spa package neither did they care. We were told to sit down and the table would be ready soon, after about 20 mins i tried to find a member of staff to help, no one available so went and asked reception and they said they would ring down to prompt the restaurant staff. 45 minutes later and still nothing, sat in the bar after two drinks still waiting. I then asked behind the bar for someone to help, and a young waiter said sorry, and they seated us (2 people) on a 14 person round table. we choose from a Christmas menu that seemed to have been put in front of us as they had no idea we were coming. The food situation was bizarre! It made me wonder if we were the first spa package to ever stay there!
