About

If your spa‑break bingo card includes a fab location, luxe leisure and plenty of foodie treats, The Parkway Hotel & Spa will give you a full house. Nestled in the Torfaen countryside in Cwmbran, this laid‑back escape sits in seven and a half acres of Wales‑in‑Bloom‑award winning gardens. It boasts a state‑of‑the‑art gymnasium complete with a poolside café relaxation area. In the main hotel, step out onto the patio for cocktails by the fountain, or cosy up for dinner by the roaring log fire in the Winter if the Welsh weather gets moist. Either way, you’re in for a seriously spoiling stay.

Checking in for the night? Most of the 80 classic rooms and suites boast countryside views, but with so much to see and do, you won’t want to linger for too long. Bagsie the fluffiest robe and head straight to the blissfully warm 15m swimming pool, spa bath, sauna and steam room before slipping into the tranquility of on-site spa, The Beauty Rooms. Indulge in a Mediterranean-inspired TEMPLESPA ritual then lay back on a lounger in the whisper-quiet relaxation room.

The air-conditioned Technogym makes keeping up with your fitness a breeze. But If you’d rather take your relaxation outside, the award-winning grounds offer plenty of slower-paced pursuits, including outdoor chess and boules in the main hotel. When you’re ready to refuel, you can settle into the garden pod (pre booking required) for an afternoon tea complete with Welsh cakes, head to Café Ash n’ Bar for drinky-poos, before moving through to Ravellos Restaurant to try their legendary carvery on a Sunday or A la Carte menus throughout the week.

Proudly Welsh and with a family-run heritage, the hotel is part of the well-respected LQ Resorts group, so you know your spa break is in expert hands. It also has some of South Wales’ best scenery within easy reach, from the rolling hills of the Valleys to the dramatic landscapes of the Brecon Beacons and the scenic Wye Valley. Culture lovers can explore nearby Caerleon with its Roman amphitheatre, wander the grand halls of Tredegar House, or head to Cardiff Bay for world‑class entertainment at the Wales Millennium Centre – before heading back to The Parkway to unwind all over again!
