I booked the hotel as a surprise for my friends 30th birthday, roughly half way between us. Very easy to get to and pleasantly surprised on arrival. Very friendly team on reception and in the coffee house throughout our stay, nothing was too much trouble. We had a delicious cream tea with bubbly on arrival and gave us a tour around the spa facilities when we were ready. Room was a good size and very comfortable with tea/coffee/biscuits ready and a bottle of water. Spa facilities were good, busy with small groups but plenty of relaxation rooms and facilities to go and chill in, if a bit of a maze! I have had better massages elsewhere but still relaxing and masseuse was friendly and attentive. We didn't eat at the hotel for dinner, but breakfast was very tasty, if a little slow, but waitresses were very cheerful and welcoming despite the breakfast rush. All in all we had a wonderful weekend and would definitely recommend.

My husband and I went to Cleve Spa for an overnight Spa Break last weekend (16th November). We were due to arrive late morning on Saturday to use the gym, spa, etc then have lunch, have a cream tea and then massages in the afternoon. Unfortunately, there was a bad accident so the motorway got closed, so we were stuck in a traffic jam for 3 hours which meant instead of getting there late morning we got there at 3:30pm! I had called ahead to explain and they were so helpful, they said we could have our cream tea the following day instead and even managed to rearrange our massages for the following day, even though they had been fully booked! The Hotel is in a lovely setting, in a beautiful manor house but it's a little bit dated, could perhaps do with a bit of TLC but the staff were very helpful and polite and we really appreciated how accommodating they all were to help make our stay a lovely one after such a bad start.... Would recommend.
