Our weekend at the Ruthin Castle was a real treat. The hotel was very old and interesting in it's history. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and warm with all the modern amenities. Breakfast was very basic with limited healthy options and no proper pots of hot tea :( The customer service was excellent both on reception and in the restaurant. The menu for dinner was a bit limited for vegetarians which meant we did not eat in the hotel both nights. The spa had a lovely ambience and was very relaxing with a sauna and steam room and outside hot tubs. There was initial confusion about when we were allowed into the hot tubs as this was not clearly explained before hand so we ended up missing out on one of our hot tub sessions but when we did get in it was fabulous to be outside with all the fairy lights. The spa therapists were excellent in their massage skills and were able to adapt treatments to allow for individual needs. Overall an excellent weekend.

Brilliant stay at Ruthin Castle and spa. Beautiful hot tub location in the trees, followed by lovely mad rasul and access to quiet space, steam room and sauna - along with complimentary herbal tea and water (option to buy alcohol). Lovely two course dinner, comfortable sleep and good breakfast. Brilliant.

Had a truly excellent relaxing break away with wife, daughters and granddaughter. Added an overnight stay also. The facilities were good and the staff were outstanding and very tentative to us as customers. The location was beautiful and gave us as a family a memorable opportunity for some quality time together.
