The Spa

No matter how hectic your daily life might be, finding time to unwind in style should always be an option. The newly refurbished spa at the Netherwood Hotel is perfect for those occasions when only the very best will do.

As soon as you walk through the door you will have entered an oasis of complete calm that you’ll love. Leave the outside world and all its tensions behind as you relax like you’ve never relaxed before.

The Workout

There’s a well-equipped gym at the hotel and it’s absolutely perfect for both newbies and experts alike. You’ll love the state of the art equipment and the friendly, welcoming atmosphere that puts you at your ease straight away.

You’ll also find some superb walking, jogging and cycling routes nearby, many of them with picturesque views of the iconic waterfront. Later, when you need to relax, the sauna will be ready and waiting to soothe and refresh you.

The Food

The hotel is understandably proud of its fine restaurant, an establish that offers superb dining and an elegant atmosphere. Locally sourced, fish, meat and vegetables are a feature on the menu, all served with an eye on tradition.

There is an air of relaxed informality here, and the views of the Morecambe Bay estuary are particularly impressive. And if you’re feeling especially indulgent, why not succumb to the temptation of a delicious afternoon tea?

The Spa at the Netherwood Hotel is modern and clean and nice. It doesn't have a pool, which I always enjoy at a spa, but the rooms were good. It is very small and at one point there were 20 people in one room with hot tubs and nowhere to sit. I imagine it's better at quieter times...though we were pretty much on our own in the steam room etc. Changing rooms very compact when there are a lot of people and no cubicles either. Very small, but nice. Afternoon tea was good, average, nice...nothing to write home about. The cakes were perhaps a bit hard, scones to die for. I asked for a hot chocolate, but had to send it back twice as they put clotted cream on the top of it and you could see all the fat separating on the top. I ended up asking for a lime and soda. Staff in the spa and hotel were all really lovely, attentive and welcoming.

The spa and the people in the spa were excellent let down by a very poor attitude in the hotel. I purchased this spa break as a gift for my wife and I feel very let down by the hotel. I would add the treatments and the people in the spa were excellent.

We have just enjoyed the Spa at Netherwood Hotel on an overnight package. The staff were excellent, very professional, and helpful. I had a facial and a back massage, my husband had a massage and an exfoliation. We both not only enjoyed our treatments but the spa itself. Very clean, welcoming and would certainly like to visit again. The hotel itself was very disappointing and the customer service poor and not what you would have expected. The Spa was let down by the hotel.

Great afternoon, wonderful treatments & very welcoming staff! A few minor points as the changing rooms were very hot & we did not receive the Prosecco which was part of the package. Would definitely return though!

We spent a 3 hour thermal experience here with afternoon tea, the staff were very friendly and it was such a relaxing afternoon. The various choices of things to do made the hours fly by whether it was jumping between the hot, warm or cold pools to the different steam, sat or saunas. The added addition of afternoon tea was and advantage and the start of the Christmas lights really made it lovely visit. I'd recommend for anyone.
