Try a scenic hike in the Clwydian Range, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty just a short drive away. You might even spot red kites, buzzards, or grazing Welsh mountain ponies along the way.

It does, and it’s every bit as indulgent as you'd hope. Served in the light-filled Lounge Bar overlooking the pool, this is your chance to tuck into a classic three-tiered delight. Sweet treats, savoury bites and a pot of something lovely (or a glass of chilled Prosecco if you’re feeling fancy). Best of all? Robes are welcome. Nothing says luxury like eating scones in your slippers!

Yes, there is accommodation, and it’s so luxurious you’ll never want to leave. Take your pick between boutique hotel rooms or one of the immersive lodges for that home-from-home feel. Some lodges even have hot tubs for some deliciously private pampering.

With bespoke furnishings and contemporary décor, boutique hotel rooms have power showers, digital TV, free Wi-Fi, and thoughtful touches like exclusive toiletries, tea and coffee facilities. Yes it is. Ground floor accessible lodges have adapted beds. They come in one, two or three bedroom units, with at least one bedroom adapted for ease of access. They also come with a wet room, power shower and accessible kitchenette. You can opt for either dog-friendly or dog-free.

You’ll find it just ten miles inland from the seaside town of Prestatyn, with sweeping views of the North Wales coastline and easy access to the Clwydian Range, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

It’s a brilliant base for exploring the best of North Wales. You’re within easy reach of Snowdonia National Park, Bodelwyddan Castle, and the bustling resort town of Llandudno. Closer to home, you can stroll to Dyserth Waterfall, explore local walking trails, or pop into nearby pubs for a taste of Welsh hospitality.

Marian Resort & Spa is owned by Lyons Holiday Parks, a family-run company with deep roots in North Wales. They bought the site in 2019 after it had fallen into disrepair. One multi-million-pound makeover later and it’s been fully restored to (even better than) its former glory.

The resort officially reopened in March 2024, with a fresh new look and lots of additional luxury. Lyons Holiday Parks also owns a number of other holiday parks across Wales, but Marian is their flagship spa destination, designed to blend indulgence with local charm.

It’s more than friendly! This North Wales gem rolls out the welcome mat for families of all shapes and sizes. Kids can splash in the pool from 10am to 12pm and 3pm to 5pm each day, then kick back and relax in spacious hotel rooms or self-catering lodges. 

The View has a dedicated children’s menu, or head to the Sports Bar for casual bites and a more laid-back atmosphere. And when you’re ready to explore, you’re perfectly placed for adventure. Dyserth Waterfall is just a 10-minute walk away, or head to Prestatyn Beach for sandcastle-building and sea air. Bodelwyddan Castle, Llandudno Pier and Rhyl SeaQuarium are all within easy reach for day trips.

Marian Resort & Spa is sheer, doggy heaven. Pet-friendly lodges are available across all grades, including luxury hot tub lodges and accessible options. Well-behaved dogs are welcome at the on-site Sports Bar and Grill.

Just behind the resort, an uphill woodland trail leads to Graig Fawr. Perfect for pups to burn off some energy while their humans take in spectacular views of the surrounding landscape.

Spa robe by morning, golf glove by afternoon? Sounds like a winning combo. Marian Resort & Spa may not have its own golf course, but don’t hang up your clubs just yet. Just three miles down the road, you’ll find Prestatyn Golf Club, a gem of a links course that’s open to visitors.

Prestatyn is the most northerly course in mainland Wales, with the stunning sea views to prove it. Expect well-groomed fairways, a few tricky water hazards and a warm welcome.
