About
There’s nowhere better than the capital when it comes to action-packed city breaks. But it doesn’t have to be all about shopping and sightseeing. Not when there are spas as heavenly as Inhale Spa at Inhabit Queen's Gardens waiting to rejuvenate you! But while it may have more New Age treatments than you can point a dreamcatcher at, this is more than just a spa. It’s a subterranean sanctuary that’s laser-focussed on nurturing the wellbeing of your body, mind and soul.
So what makes Inhale Spa so special? First, there’s the location. This zen-like space nestles in Inhabit Queen’s Gardens, a boutique hotel with a focus on wellness, mindfulness, community and sustainability. Set across a crescent of mid-19th Century townhouses on a tree-lined square near Paddington, it oozes pared-back, modern luxury. If yoga, meditation and clean-eating are your bag, you’ll feel right at home within these Scandi-style walls.
Wellness is a way of life here. Organic drinks are freshly-made to order (medicinal mushroom latte, anyone?). Devon-based Yeotown Kitchen serves up plant-centric meals in a light-filled space with a communal feel. Each one of its 158 rooms is crafted with superior sleep in mind - think bespoke aromatherapy scents, Naturalmat mattresses and mindfulness exercises. There’s even a phone-lock box to save you from those tempting late night-scrolling sessions.
Wake up to a nibbly, fruity breakfast plate to kick-start your day. Enjoy a spot of yoga, breathwork or meditation in the cork-floored studio. Go on a guided walk around Hyde Park for a spot of forest bathing. With so much self-care on offer, it’s hard to feel stressed. But should you need to unwind further, head down to Inhale Spa. Revel in the bone-warming heat of the infrared sauna before partaking in a ritual from British brand Gaia.
If you can bear to leave your self-care bubble behind, the delights of the capital await. Mere steps away from Hyde Park, locations don’t get much better. Paddington Basin and Thomas Heatherwick’s architectural bridge are all nearby. You will also be close to the lively Grand Union Canal and Regent’s Canal. Indulge in some high-end shopping at Marylebone Village or visit one of the world’s most famous literary addresses - The Sherlock Holmes Museum can be found at 221B Baker Street.
