About
Fancy a weekend getaway to a fancy country estate? Of course you do – and there’s nowhere finer than Hollins Hall Hotel. This grand Victorian manor is an elegant cocoon of stately charm, nourishing food, a state-of-the-art leisure club and an abundance of walks in the fresh West Yorkshire air. Whether you’re here for a lazy weekend or just a day of pampering, it has everything you need to kick back in style.
Set within 200 acres of greenery overlooking the Aire Valley, Hollins Hall has that miles-away-from-anywhere feel – even though it’s just a short hop from Leeds and Bradford. The manor itself is a handsome blend of Victorian architecture and contemporary comfort, with high ceilings, squashy armchairs and twinkling chandeliers that create a sense of relaxed grandeur from the moment you step inside.
Outdoorsy type? You’re in the right place. Wander the grounds with a coffee in hand, play a round on the 18‑hole championship golf course, or lace up your boots to tackle one of the many walking trails that weave through the surrounding countryside. The hotel is a favourite with walkers thanks to its easy access to Baildon Moor, the Aire Valley towpath and scenic routes that lead towards Ilkley Moor.
But if you’re more in the mood for pampering than rambling, the hotel’s state-of-the-art leisure club will be your second home. Drift between the pool, whirlpool, sauna and steam room, or book yourself into the spa for an Elemis treatment that melts away every last trace of real life. Feeling energetic? The modern gym is kitted out with Star Trac cardio equipment, Technogym resistance machines and free weights – plus there are 40 timetabled fitness classes a week.
If all that pampering makes you hungry, the Grill On The Hill serves flat-iron steaks hot off the grill, while The Drawing Room offers afternoon teas in suitably elegant surrounding. But for something more casual, head to Hollins Bar for a bar snack as you peruse the extensive wine list. And when you’re finally ready to retreat upstairs, the hotel’s 122 bedrooms are a haven of plush bedding, cosy textures and countryside views.
Whether you’re here for romance, relaxation or simply a break from the everyday, this West Yorkshire gem delivers indulgence in spades. But should you wish to venture out, you’re perfectly placed for exploring. Ilkley is close by, famous for its moorland and indie shops, while Saltaire is a UNESCO World Heritage Site just waiting to be explored. For a spot of retail therapy, Leeds city centre is within easy reach, with everything from designer boutiques to the historic Kirkgate Market.

Just arrived back from an afternoon session in the spa. Haven’t seen many reviews just about the spa experience before but have had a lovely afternoon. There are two gyms well equipped (weights downstairs/aerobic upstairs). The pool is large (25m?) greatfully warm and plenty of chairs around the side. Jacuzzi next to it can hold around 10 and jets come on for a few minutes with only couple minutes break in-between so could spend a long time enjoying the sprays. The 2x steam/hot rooms could fit 6-8 and met some lovely people. Didnt make the solarium- hopefully next time.

Was a lovely day, the staff were amazing. It was my mums first ever time getting a massage and she was quite anxious however the staff made her experience relaxed. We really enjoyed it. It’s just a shame the hot tub wasn’t working at our session however there’s always next time!

My husband and I visited yesterday. We were booked in for a massage and we could use the facilities for as long as we wanted. There is a sauna and a steam room, and a gym if desired. They also have a pool. The massage was amazing and we made use of the relaxation room in the spa area too. We had a lovely time and would definitely go back. The only downfall was that in the pool area there were families with children. I have children myself and love them, but when I go to a spa I wouldn’t expect to see them. Spoilt the vibe slightly.
