If you’re staying overnight, St David’s Restaurant is where the feasting begins. Mornings start with breakfast buffet bliss, with continental favourites like pastries, cereals, juices and hot drinks, followed by warming porridge, fluffy omelettes and a hearty Full English from the hot counter. Come evening, the team serves up generous three‑course dinners crafted with fresh ingredients and plenty of choice. 

Rather than a huge dining room, the restaurant is split into distinct zones, each with its own vibe. History lovers will gravitate towards the atmospheric old School Library that pays homage to the castle’s past life as a girls’ boarding school. If you prefer a bit of grand Victorian elegance, you can dine under the high ceilings of the Countess’s dining room area. But for a brighter, more contemporary feel, why not secure a table in the sweeping glass atrium? It’s flooded with natural light.

There sure is! At the hotel’s modern leisure club you’ll find a beautifully heated, 13m indoor pool that was made for guilt-free lounging. And because it’s blissfully adults-only, there’s zero chance you’ll be hit in the face with a pool noodle!

The pool area has  large windows and a glass roof, meaning you can look out at the North Wales weather without actually getting in it! Bodelwyddan Castle may look like a genuine medieval fortress, but it’s technically a Victorian folly rather than an actual castle. Although the site’s history stretches back to 1460, the castle‑style appearance you see today was created between 1830 and 1850, when the Williams family commissioned leading architects to completely transform the property. They added the iconic limestone curtain walls, towers and battlements that give the estate its dramatic castle silhouette.

Yes, Bodelwyddan Castle has plenty of accommodation on-site, with 241 bedrooms found around and behind the historic castle walls. Because the historic  estate is a dedicated Warners resort village, your room is booked as part of a package that includes a hot breakfast, three-course evening meals, full spa access and nightly live entertainment. 

You can choose from four accommodation styles, depending on the vibe you’re looking for. Comfortable Standard rooms sit in the main holiday wings, while the highly popular Signature rooms offer extra living space and premium refreshments. If you prefer a tranquil retreat, the secluded Garden Lodges are tucked away next to the woodland and come with private patios or balconies. 

But for a truly magical stay, the luxurious Royale rooms can’t be beaten. These characterful spaces feature unique architectural quirks, grand high ceilings and gorgeous furnishings, with some rooms housed right inside the castle's historic stone turrets.

If you’re staying overnight, you can get to the hotel from 12pm to enjoy the gardens and have lunch, but your room won’t be available until 3pm. Yes it is, and the venue is a popular choice for guests with accessibility requirements. With ample parking and dedicated drop-off zones, the hotel also features purpose-built, ground-floor accessible rooms equipped with wide doorways, grab rails and wet-room roll-in showers. 

Because the property is spread across the country estate, there may be some longer-than-usual distances to navigate! However, all paths are flat and very wheelchair-friendly.

Over at the spa, you’ll find the pool area and changing facilities are completely accessible, too. The spa offers an extensive treatment menu to suit all needs and if you need any additional support to get on and off the therapy beds, they’re more than happy for you to bring a carer or companion into the treatment room with you to assist.

There’s a nine‑hole putting green right on‑site, but that’s far from the only way to play at Bodelwyddan Castle! As you’d expect from a Warner resort, the estate is packed with ways to have fun – curling, darts, shuffleboard, you name it! You’ll even find a championship croquet lawn.

But for a serious game of golf there are excellent options right on the doorstep. Kinmel Park Golf & Driving Range is just a mile away, ideal for a quick practice session. Or head slightly further afield to Abergele Golf Club or the parkland course at Rhuddlan Golf Club. Both 18‑hole courses are within a 10‑minute drive.
