Belton Woods is nestled in 475 acres of picturesque Lincolnshire countryside, just three miles from historic Grantham. The resort is right next to Belton House, a stunning National Trust estate with beautiful gardens and walking trails.

Despite its tranquil setting, Belton Woods is easily accessible - just minutes from the A1 and less than an hour’s drive from Nottingham. It’s just an hour by train from London’s King’s Cross.

The big draw has to be the Belton Estate, because this National Trust property is just a ten-minute walk away from the resort. Belton House is a beautiful example of Restoration architecture with a world-renowned library and art collection. But if you don’t like to be indoors, the estate has extensive grounds to explore, including a lake, an ancient deer park and an arboretum. 

Grantham itself is just three miles away from Belton Woods and well worth a visit. This historic market town is packed with high street stores, independent shops and cafés. It’s also home to Grantham Museum which lets you learn about the town’s famous former residents - Margaret Thatcher and Sir Isaac Newton.

If you don’t mind hopping in the car, just south of Grantham (and a 20-minute drive from Belton Woods) you’ll find Woolsthorpe Manor, the former family home of Sir Isaac Newton. See the famous apple tree that inspired it all and learn about Newton’s experiments at the on-site Science Centre.  

It sure is. Belton Woods is designed with families in mind, offering children’s menus, activity packs and an on-site nature trail. Kids can splash in the indoor pool every day from 8am to 11am and 3pm to 6.30pm, and there’s even a driving range for little golfers in the making. 

Several interconnecting rooms make it easy for your whole crew to stay together, or there are cots for younger guests and Z beds for older children.

Beyond the resort, there’s plenty of family-friendly fun nearby. Explore the Belton Estate, a National Trust treasure with adventure playgrounds and scenic walking trails. Mini thrill-seekers will love Ancaster Leisure Centre with its go-karting, paintball, and archery. And if the kids need to burn off some energy, nearby Twinlakes Park has a theme-park, child-friendly farm and play centre.

Yes it is! Belton Woods offers seven accessible parking spaces along with five ground-floor accessible bedrooms. These feature wheelchair-friendly bathrooms with lowered basins, bathtubs, and emergency pull cords. 

Over at the Club and Spa you’ll find step-free access, with assistance available for the pool and spa facilities. A dedicated accessible toilet, changing area, and wheel-in shower room with grab rails and a drop-down seat are there to make life a little easier. Poolside access is all on one level, with steps and a handrail into the shallow end.

Trying to sniff out a dog-friendly hotel in Lincolnshire? You won’t find better than Belton Woods. Waggy tails aren’t just welcome, they’re given the red-carpet treatment, with plenty of treats to munch on and access to Claret Jug, Lounge Bar and Conservatory. 

Your four-legged friend can join you for £25 per room, per night, and you can bring up to two small or medium dogs. When you and your pooch check in, they’ll give you a ‘Pet-in-room’ sign to hang from your door handle to ensure you won’t be disturbed.

The Lakes course features long holes, narrow fairways, and plenty of water hazards, making it a true test for golfers of all levels. The Woods has gentle, undulating fairways that run alongside wooded areas, dotted with strategically placed bunkers to keep players on their toes.
