Set in a beautiful old English property surrounded by forests, it was the perfect getaway from the hustle and hustle of parenting and work. We went on a Saturday morning and had full access to all parts of the property. No room was overcrowded and the pool facilities were well kept. The steam room and sauna rooms were spacious and relaxing. We personally found the swimming pool a touch too cold but dipped in to experience the hydro therapy areas. The hot mosaic lounge room upstairs was calm, as was the waiting room for treatments. We booked lunch with our spa experience. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The food was exquisite, the presentation was stunning. We had ciabattas with a side of chips to share. We both noted how delicious the homemade coleslaw was. The decor around the rooms was tasteful, with large clay jars full of different dried flowers and foliage. We loved it all, from the moment we arrived.

This was my first experience at this spa and it was so beautiful, the staff were all so lovely and helpful and everything was easy to access. The food was tasty and everything was clean and well kept, will definitely be booking another day!

We had a lovely spa day at Bannatyne, all facilities were usable and in clean conditions. The lunch included was very nice plenty of choices. The only issue we had was the lack of drinking water. There was no access to drinking water in the various relaxation rooms, or changing rooms, and the only drinking water available in the pool (sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi) area was an old fashioned tap that you put your mouth to (not the most hygienic). You are normally encouraged to stay hydrated especially when using the warmer facilities, but this spa did not support this. We would visit again, but next time we would take our own bottles of water.

The whole experience was relaxing and enjoyed my visit. It was a birthday treat from my daughter and we had a wonderful morning together in a beautiful environment.

The Spa from the minute I arrived felt friendly staff very helpful and the spa experience was so relaxing with all the options of cool bath, pool, Jacuzzi, steam and sauna. I really enjoyed all of it. The heated rest room, tranquil music. The treatments I experienced was amazing. This was my 3rd visit and can’t wait to go back. Lunch was awesome too, thank you Ballentynes for a wonderful day.

We have been to lots of spas but this one tops them all. The whole place was relaxing and had a lovely chilled atmosphere. The facilities are excellent and loved the mosaic beds and aromatherapy room, very relaxing. The Jacuzzi and steam room fantastic. The massage was amazing too, a whole day filled with pampering and relaxation just what was needed to de-stress. Great, helpful staff too. We will definitely be coming back very soon. Highly recommended.
