About

Want to invest in your self-care while wallowing in some seriously luxe surroundings? Take yourself off for a spa day at the stunning Nidd Hall Hotel. A stunning 18th-century country house hotel nestled in the heart of North Yorkshire, this blissfully adults-only Warner retreat is a haven of rejuvenation, far removed from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

History buffs (or fans of period dramas) will be in heaven here. Sweep up the gravel drive and the imposing facade of the Grade II-listed mansion will transport you back in time. Originally built by a Bradford wool merchant, guests can take a guided history walk to learn about the building, along with the rumoured first meeting of a certain Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson at a glamorous party held here in the 1930s.

Surrounded by 45 acres of manicured gardens and greenery, your shoulders will drop before you’ve even put on your robe. While the hotel offers activities for every mood, from yoga and aqua aerobics to pitch and putt and tennis, the centrepiece of Nidd Hall's wellness offering is its luxurious spa. Here, you can unwind with a selection of pampering rituals from four blissful treatment rooms, or simply drift from heated swimming to toasty sauna to Jacuzzi.

Take time away from the lavish leisure facilities to explore the charming spa town of Harrogate. Just over six miles away, no trip here would be complete without a visit to the famous Betty's Tea Room - you can work off the calories afterwards with long walks in the Nidderdale area of outstanding natural beauty. There is horseracing to be enjoyed at Ripon while the Roman and Viking history of York is always worthy of further exploration.

Whether you seek a serene spa retreat or a longer stay packed with action and activity, Nidd Hall caters to all preferences. With its luxurious accommodation, incredible facilities, and two delicious dining options, this hotel offers the perfect escape for a relaxing and unforgettable break.

A haven of luxury, it offers so many ways to spoil yourself, from a simple dip before lunch to an all-day pamper session. Whether you have just an afternoon to spare or want to plan your entire getaway around finding spa serenity, Nidd Hall has you covered.

Step inside to explore the spa cocooned in your fluffy white robe. There’s a beautifully-lit indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room and thermal suite. Let the soothing bubbles work their magic on your muscles, while you lay back and wallow in the warmth.

In collaboration with skincare brand Temple Spa, Nid Hall’s face and body rituals draw inspiration from the vibrant Mediterranean. Whether you're in the mood for a brightening facial, a detoxifying mud wrap, or a rejuvenating foot ritual, you’ll leave feeling glowing from head to toe.

The Gym & Fitness at Nidd Hall Hotel & Spa

Unless you’ve got a will of iron, sticking to your exercise goals while you’re on a spa day can be a tough sell. But the fitness-fostering facilities at Nidd Hall will make being active feel like a breeze.

The fully-equipped gym will see you sculpting and toning like never before. Sweat it out on the resistance and cardiovascular machines, or lift free weights and do your own routine. Just remember that, however hard you work out, the swimming pool, sauna and steam room will be ready and waiting to boost your recovery.

Sporty types will love the leisure facilities on offer - why not challenge each other to some friendly competition on the putting green or tennis courts? Who knows? You could leave Nidd Hall with a brand new hobby, feeling fitter than ever before.

When making an enquiry by telephone, I was greeted by the most pleasant, engaging, polite, informative young man. He could not do enough. On arrival to the spa, we were greeted by said young man and colleagues with a smile, warmth, speed in confirming our booking and sorting us with coffee. We were informed and supported of our day ahead. Honestly, as an ex customer service trainer, your staff are naturally lovely people with excellent customer service understanding. The facilities are minimal (no Jacuzzi or plunge pool) but because the staff are so engaging, polite and happy to assist, I will be returning with my network of friends. The lunch provided was excellent also, everything bar one cake was home made and absolutely delightful. My massage was excellent and Louise clearly knew her anatomy and again I will be back just to see her for her experience and wisdom. I cannot recommend enough. This was a gem of a find.

Extremely helpful and friendly staff, the standard of customer service was very high. The gym and pool/sauna/steam room were not busy when we visited mid-week. The gym is quite small, but the kit is modern and in good condition and because there were few guests, we could use all the equipment that we wanted to. The changing rooms were clean. The highlight was the afternoon tea, which was really delicious. We didn't feel rushed at any point, so the session was very relaxing. This hotel is a great option for a relaxing gym/pool morning with afternoon tea and we enjoyed a stroll round the attractive grounds afterwards.

Nowadays it’s home to the famous Betty’s Tea Rooms, Turkish baths, and Valley Gardens.

The huge mansion has its own lake where you’re more than welcome to cast a rod. There’s even a set of swings for the young at heart - and because it’s adults-only this is one playground you won’t have to share!

While you’re roaming the grounds for the outdoor activities, keep an eye out for the tiny doors hidden around the estate - these supposedly lead into the houses of the Nidd Hall fairies!
