Try a Welsh Garden made with spiced rum, vodka and elderflower.

The restaurant is all about hearty dishes, with menus that celebrate locally sourced produce. Afternoon teas are a highlight, laden with homemade cakes, fluffy scones and dainty sandwiches. Breakfasts are generous, lunches are wholesome and dinners showcase the best of Welsh comfort food with a modern twist. 

There sure is! The attractive indoor pool is 12m in length, so there’s plenty of room for your laps. After your swim, you can unwind in the bubbly spa bath before hitting the sauna and steam room.

Llety Cynin is tucked away on a working dairy farm in Carmarthenshire, West Wales, with the Cynin river flowing at the edge of the farm. This converted coach house is surrounded by beautiful countryside and woodland, yet you’re only about a mile from St Clears, a quaint market town on the Wales Coastal Path.

This welcoming Welsh hideaway started life as a stone coach house. In the mid‑2000s, the building was lovingly transformed, with a full renovation between 2006 and 2008 that turned the original building into stylish guest accommodation. 

The project added 13 en‑suite rooms, a leisure club, spa, restaurant and bar, while still keeping the rustic look. But the story didn’t stop there. In 2017, Llety Cynin was extended again, adding more space for events, weddings and wellness.

While you have to be 16 for a treatment in the spa, younger guests are welcome in the pool at daily family swim sessions. Children under 14 can’t use the sauna, spa pool or steam room, and must be accompanied in the water by an adult at all times (one adult for every two children).

Back on dry land, the Penny Restaurant makes mealtimes easy with kids’ menus full of tasty options like burgers and ice creams. There’s a children' s playground and woodland walk to help them let off steam after they’ve eaten. Yes, it is. Not only are there two accessible bedrooms, the hotel and its leisure club are easy to navigate, with helpful staff who are proactive and supportive. 

Sorry! Llety Cynin isn’t pet‑friendly, so your four‑legged friends will have to sit this one out. While you might spot cows in the fields or squirrels in the woodland, dogs and other pets aren’t allowed to stay in the guest rooms.

No, there’s no golf club at Llety Cynin. But visitors get a warm welcome at Derllys Court Golf Club, less than ten miles from the hotel. Set in the Carmarthenshire countryside, this 18‑hole, par‑70 parkland course offers challenging play with spectacular scenery. The panoramic vistas from the summit are well worth pausing your swing for!
