About
If you go down to the woods today, you’re in for a seriously spoiling surprise. Nestled on the edge of the ancient Burnham Beeches nature reserve, this Georgian manor-turned-boutique-hideaway is a love letter to leafy luxury. With 500-year-old trees nearby and ten acres of manicured grounds to explore, Burnham Beeches Hotel & Spa offers an escape into enchantment – and that’s before you even discover its forest-inspired Soul Spa!
Step inside the glass-box lobby and soak up Burnham Beeches’ design-led interiors. Green crushed-velvet armchairs and sofas and gorgeous forest-inspired wallpaper are designed to bring the outside in and add a touch of fun. Checking-in for the night? Whether you’re staying in the Georgian wing or the newer annexe, expect plush bedding, rich textures and thoughtful touches throughout.
The Soul Spa is a modern sanctuary tucked beneath all this 18th-century heritage. There’s a pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room, plus a gym kitted out with a Peloton. Feel grounded with a nature-inspired Templespa ritual, designed to balance your body and mind. Afterwards, you can toast your bliss with a glass of fizz, perched on a high stool at the buzzing Verdure Lounge. Or head to The Evergreen Tea Room, for an afternoon tea billed as the poshest outside of Windsor Castle.
In the mood for something heartier? Dining at Burnham Beeches Hotel is a real treat. Brasserie 1727 delivers modern British dishes, served in a setting that’s as stylish as it is laid-back. For something a little more refined, The Arden Room offers a quieter, more traditional space. Both look out over the hotel’s landscaped gardens, with tables on the terrace when the weather’s playing ball. With menus designed to please, it’s no surprise the dining spaces are popular with locals and guests alike.
Beyond the hotel, there’s plenty to explore. Windsor Castle, Cliveden House and the Chiltern Hills AONB are all nearby, while the 926-acre Burnham Beeches nature reserve (once royal hunting grounds) is just a five-minute drive away. For those seeking activity closer to home, the hotel offers tennis courts and bikes for hire, or you can simply wander the grounds and let the day unfold at your own pace.

Clearly once a great hotel, it has seen better days in some areas. The overall experience was enjoyable because we went with the flow, however it was rather shambolic and surreal much of the time. There was little or no organisation or instruction given for how our Spa break would run. Areas of the hotel are "tired" but our room was spotless & well decorated. The actual spa treatments were excellent & both therapists were very good indeed. The pool, sauna, changing room area is very poor indeed. Clean but old and in desperate need of modernisation. The absolute highlight was the staff, who without exception were delightful. Friendly and very willing to help! Harry deserves a mention as he bent over backwards at lunch, dinner & breakfast to ensure we had a great experience.

The package we had was great value. The room was very nice, clean and very comfortable beds, great to have a coffee machine. The massage was very good and all hotel staff very friendly. The food was excellent. The spa /pool was good although parts of the changing area could do with some touching up. Overall highly recommend this hotel and spa.

Very helpful and polite staff. The treatment therapist/beautician was amazing! Beautiful treatment room. Afternoon tea was quite nice. Loved the freshly baked scones! And the chai.. we were not expecting that kind of spiced chai there. The spa facilities definitely needs some work/upgrade. We also had issues with the lockers in changing room, most of them didn’t have keys on and the number locks didn’t work as well. Two things we were not aware of - You could pack the unfinished afternoon tea - scones / desserts/ sandwiches. You could spend the whole day at spa - from 9 am till late eve .

Lovely hotel and masseur, great value for money. Had unlimited use of swimming pool, gym, Jacuzzi and sauna. Was informed that the spa packages no longer available which is a shame as I would of recommended the spa break.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does Burnham Beeches Hotel & Spa serve afternoon tea?
Indeed it does, and it’s far from an afterthought. This time-honoured tradition dates back to the hotel’s origins as a royal hunting lodge – aristocrats would have tucked in as far back as 1727. Today, you’ll lift your pinkie in the elegant Evergreen Tea Room, a space devoted entirely to this quintessentially British ritual.
Overlooking the hotel’s manicured grounds (once part of royal hunting territory), the setting is every bit as refined as the experience itself. You might want to dress up – it’s billed as the poshest afternoon tea outside of Windsor Castle!
Served daily from 12pm to 4pm, expect a beautifully presented selection of homemade finger sandwiches, warm scones with jam and clotted cream, and an array of delicate cakes and pastries. Choose from a curated list of speciality teas or elevate the occasion with a glass of fizz.
Is there a swimming pool at Burnham Beeches Hotel & Spa?
There sure is, so pack that swimming cossie! Burnham Beeches Hotel & Spa has a lovely indoor swimming pool. Blissfully warm and 8m in length, it’s perfect for a few leisurely laps or simply unwinding in the water.
Alongside the pool, you’ll find a Jacuzzi, traditional sauna and a steam room. Whether you’re easing into your day or winding down after a treatment, it’s a peaceful spot to relax and recharge.
Is there accommodation at Burnham Beeches Hotel & Spa?
There is, and many of our Burnham Beeches spa deals include a night’s stay as part of your treat. Your room for the night will be one of the 79 stylish bedrooms, each one thoughtfully designed to reflect the hotel’s woodland setting. Some are in the original hunting lodge, and others are in the newer wing. But all boast calming colour palettes of forest greens, warm neutrals and rich textures, with botanical wallpaper and plush furnishings that bring the outside in.
What are check-in and check-out times at Burnham Beeches Hotel & Spa
Spending the night? Check-in opens at 3pm, while check-out is at 11am, so you’ve still got time for one last croissant. Want to arrive early? The hotel will do their best, but can’t promise your room will be ready. If it’s not, you’re welcome to drop your bags at reception and dive into the spa instead. Craving a lie-in? Late checkout is yours for £20 an hour if they’ve got the space.
Morning and day spa packages at Burnham Beeches typically begin at 9am, with afternoon sessions starting at 1pm and twilight packages from 4pm. But arrival times can vary, so it’s best to check your booking confirmation for the most accurate details.
