The spa treatments and facilities were lovely and really good and clean. The hotel was very nice and the lady on reception was very helpful. Unfortunately we found the food a bit hit and miss and the Saturday night and Sunday morning there was no hot water so we had to have cold showers which was a real shame. The clerk that checked me out did not ask how my stay was, so perhaps he knew what I would say so preferred not to ask. To access the spa facilities we needed to go past the kitchen and I did think it needed a bit of a going over so to speak but the spa itself was spotless. There were alot of families with young children and would be interested in adult only in future, but this is not an issue with the hotel itself. Overall we had a good rest and enjoyed our stay.

Overall I had a very peaceful and relaxing day at this very pleasant spa. The sauna, steam room and pools were very clean and worked well. The atmosphere was calm and the facility was clean. I visited during the week in the winter so the spa was quiet and I often had the areas to myself. The treatments were above average, I particularly enjoyed the Rasul mud treatment. The food was very good although portions quite small. The facility however did not seem to run with the slickness of other health farms and spas that I have visited. The staff seemed a little unsure of their jobs and seemed to be doing a lot of hanging around. I had to prompt them to put out water in the spa area, and also had to wait 20 minutes for my lunch even though I had been given an allotted time slot. Overall the spa was friendly and relaxing, which is what I had desired from my day.

A very warm welcome awaits you at the Halcyon. It was very quiet and I had the pool, sauna and steam room to myself for quite a lot of the day. The treatments were first class. I would definitely recommend it and would love to go again myself. The only negative was the cream tea. I would have preferred a slight salad lunch instead.

I visited the Halcyon Spa at the Bishopstrow House Hotel with my Fiance in Feb.We booked in for a full body massage and arrived about 15 mins before our treatment time to find we were greeted by a very friendly team.To our pleasant surprise we were booked into a dual treatment room which we were over the moon about as it enabled us to start enjoying and sharing our weekend together from the start. We were greeted by one of the therapists and taken to a stunning treament room where we enjoyed every second of our treatment.Afterwards we were taken to the relaxation room and we definitely felt relaxed, we then used all the facilities such as the swimming pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and even the monsoon shower(lovely).Overall the spa was beautiful and exceeded our expectations, we have a few grumbles about the hotel itself but this does not affect our opinion directly of the spa.

The spa at Bishopstrow house is quite spread out we got lost several times. The changing area is v small and I did not like having to dry my hair in near total darkness in what was a public corridor at the end of the day. The gym is cramped. The outdoor pool is lovely and so is the indoor until the end of the day when it was overun by children. The food was fabulous but it was a shame we had to wait so long for it as we had pre-ordered and were told to be at the resturant at a set time - (lost a lot of pool time)The treatments were great we both had facials and body wraps - which were very relaxing. It would have finished the day off nicely to be offered a cup of tea in the relaxation room after. Over all we had a nice day but not sure that we would return the spa.
