The Spa & Wellness at Whittlebury Park

There’s nothing better than a bit of quality time in peace and tranquility. So escape for the day (or more!) with a spa package at Whittlebury Park.

Tucked away in its own separate complex away from the hotel, Whittlebury Spa lets you relax, renew and revive however you want. Reconnect on loungers gazing out at the azure pool, then head to the day spa for the Heat and Ice experience. Go on a thermal journey through the caldarium, sauna, salt steam room and crystal steam room, before plunging into an ice cave.

Then, hidden away up a flight of stairs, the treatment zone awaits. Float up to this cocoon of calm to enjoy top-to-toe ESPA treatments that will primp, pamper and polish you to perfection. Post-massage the bliss continues in the two relaxation rooms, where loungers, egg chairs and water beds are waiting for you.

The Gym & Fitness at Whittlebury Park

Work out, stretch out and chill out, because Whittlebury Park’s ethos is that fitness should be rewarding and fun. Its first-class facilities are designed to help you reach your goals and leave you feeling rejuvenated in the process. In fact it’s more than just a gym - the Leisure Club at Whittlebury Park is a fitness and wellness destination.

First stop, the gym which is packed full of the very latest equipment from Artis by Technogym. Try the Kinesis Station - a machine which combines strength training and functional training. Ask one of the gym team to show you what it can do because once you get started, the only limit is your imagination. Or try a class in the Body & Mind studio - there’s everything from barre fitness to meditation.

Then it’s time to hit the pool for lane swimming or an aqua class. Impressively sized at 19m, there’s ambient lighting and an intricate mural of Ancient Rome to inspire you. A bubbly spa and salt sauna add to the chilled vibe and let you soak those tired muscles.

Prefer being outdoors, social and active? Make time for a round of golf at Whittlebury Park’s championship course. You can play the 36 holes  in any order you like, so you’ll never do the same round twice.

I enjoyed a lovely day at the spa. All the spa facilities are great! Staff are very helpful and friendly. The lunch was absolutely delicious! My actual treatment (facial) was wonderful, the only negative was I had my treatment in a room next to reception so it was rather noisey! And every time I relaxed I could here staff talking and laughing, it was almost like they were just walking passed the door, that was quite disappointing, As my two sisters had treatments but they were over the other side of the spa that’s all low lit and very quiet, they both said they didn’t hear a thing! Just a shame that I had lots of noise.

I took advantage of the Decadence Day. As I booked a few days before they didn’t have my locker ready which apparently should have had my free gift in. All the staff were polite but not overly friendly. More signage required for upstairs ladies changing room once checked in. Changing room small, showers need refurbishing. Had a facial and massage which was absolutely fantastic and my therapist Nicky was brilliant. Beautiful place, with lovely areas for sitting, relaxing. Beds in relaxation room a bit hard but a lovely room. Lunch was tasty and plenty to choose from. Heat and Ice experience were great and lots of choice. All in all a good day.

Lovely spa and food package. The treatment was great too. Only negative was the lack of sun beds around the pool. Paid a lot of money for this break to be sat on the floor to read my book.
