Great Spa, a few tweaks would make it excellent We booked a couples retreat. No bubbles on arrival or offered at any stage despite being part of the deal. Wonderful morning spent in pool and in range of heat treatment areas, all of which were well maintained. Then moved onto Rasul treatment - our second disappointment. The steam room was only switched on when we went in and didn\'t really get going until 20 mins has elapsed and it was already time to shower! When we mentioned this to the staff the answer was \"sorry we\'ve been busy today. A two course lunch followed which was very good, then we were asked to wait for our \"desert\". They had to make it from scratch - 35 mins later it arrived! The highlight of the day were our massages both excellent. In summary, a great spa well worth a visit but Mere please focus on the small details if you want to be excellent. |

Relaxing day The staff are lovely and friendly, make you feel comfortable even when walking around in a robe!Only time I felt uncomfortable was when we ate lunch in the dining area, there was only the two of us with robes everyone else was suited and booted having business lunches, but the staff were great so after a while I wasn\'t too bothered. The treatments were fantastic so relaxing and the spa itself exceeded my expectations, I would definitely recommend, and I would most definitely go again, would have liked to have stayed longer than a day. |

Amazing, Wonderful Day My friend and I spent the day at The Mere Spa on Friday 20th January 2012. It was our second visit after truly having a brilliant day back in August 2011. It was so worth travelling an hour and a half from Leicestershire..... The staff are so welcoming, polite and went out of their way to make our day so relaxing. The lunch was delicious, top restaturant quality food, massage and facials, manicures and pedicures were of a very, very high standard. Pool area was clean, as was the sauna, steam rooms etc. Changing area and showers were clean, spacious, nice touch of lotions to try.I would definitely recommend this spa to every lady who is really looking for a quality spa day. Very Peaceful Very peaceful day, staff were very welcoming and helpful and the treatments were very relaxing and pampering. My only concern related to the fish pedicure. It did not seem common place to request removal of nail polish, which could hide possible fungal infection of the nail which could be passed to other customers having a similar treatment. Other than this I found the day fantastic, the lunch was lovely and I felt well looked after. |

Fabulous Spa Day Experience From the moment I walked into the Spa I felt my body relax and knew I was going to have a great experience. The ambiance is relaxed, decor simple, modern but cosy and very clean. Staff were discreet, professional and explained the elements of the day thoroughly and made me feel welcome.The therapists were friendly and professional. Treatments were excellent and as a therapist, I am very critical! The back massage had exactly the right pressure and the therapist checked it was right for me. The facial was thorough and felt longer than 30 mins. I felt truly pampered.The compact nature of the spa is perfect for that day spa experience with all facilities in close proximity to each other, making it easy to avail of all on offer. I will definitely be returning. I loved the whole experience. I felt comfortable in the surroundings and was loathe to leave at the end of the day. |

Wonderful! The Mere provided me and my two friends with exactly what we needed, a serene and relaxing spa day, with excellent service and wonderful treatments. I had the Hot Stone Wrap and it was the best massage I have ever had. I felt like I was floating by the end of it! My friends enjoyed the Rasul and we all had a great time relaxing in the pool and the numerous facilities following our treatments. The changing rooms were nice and clean (although I would have enjoyed a hotter shower). The food was very tasty, however we felt the portions were quite small (considering the price). There had been a mix up with our original booking, which was annoying, but a very helpful member of staff (Janine) sorted us out following a couple of cancellations (luckily). If you don\'t mind splashing out on yourself I would highly recommend visiting The Mere Spa. |
