  A blissful afternoon of pampering
  Tucked away off the busy seafront the Lansdowne has the charm and style of a classic old hotel with a modern touch. The brass plated, revolving door and dark wood lined lobby leads down to the small spa manned by welcoming, helpful and friendly staff. The changing rooms were clean and lockers a good size. The relaxation room where we waited for our treatments was snug, but smart with a selection of hot and cold drinks, magazines, reclining chairs and ample towels. The downside being we couldn't really avoid the other guests, as it's quite small - and they were a bit noisy.The steam room and sauna both maintained a great heat, particularly the steam room. There are two showers, but only one was working, but was massive and had a good pressure. We had a double treatment room with massage, facial and manicure - all were excellent and the therapists attentive and thorough. Lunch was delicious, if a little slow in coming. portions were a good size and the food was fresh. Overall a very enjoyable, relaxing and highly reccommended day!
