My two daughters and myself regularly treat ourselves to spa days or overnight stays and over the past fews years have visited many different locations. Until today we have never quite found perfection,either good spa but not very friendly or food could be better. This was not the case today at Alexander House. We had amazing surroundings, good food, clean and well equippped spa, therapists of an exremely high standard and very friendlly staff,we are now saving for an overnight stay in the near future. My sister and I visited Alexander House Hotel on one of their Sunday deals. I was surprised and delighted when we discovered that the offer applied to the Sunday after Christmas.We were there for 1 night - but arrived early afternoon on the Sunday and left quite late on the Monday. The room was delightful, the staff extremely friendly and helpful and the treatments sublime. As a bonus the food was excellent too - and I believe they have added a carvery since our visit.It was nice to feel refreshed, relaxed and detoxified after Christmas. Shame we ruined it at New Year!However, we are planning a return visit.Guest Rating -

My sister and I were surprised and delighed to find that Alexander House Hotel's Sunday offer applied to the Sunday after Christmas.We arrived early/mid afternoon on the Sunday and didn't leave until quite late on the Monday (we'd checked out but were allowed to use the spa for the rest of the afternoon).The hotel is beautiful and spotlessly clean - including the very calming and pretty spa. Our bedroom was delightful, the staff extremely friendly and helpful and the treatments fabulous. If you can face the short dash from spa to garden in the middle of winter, the outside jacuzzi was sublime on a clear crisp night.As an added bonus the food was excellent - and I believe they have added a carvery since our visit.It was a change to feel relaxed, revitalised and detoxed after Christmas - but maybe we should have booked for after New Year!Can't wait to go back again.Guest Rating
