Designated as an area of nature conservation value, you'll see a wide variety of wildlife as you stroll, including mute swans, ducks and moorfowl. You may even be lucky enough to spot kingfishers or grey herons.

Ultra-indulgent spa breaks need ultra-indulgent eating and drinking options to match. Luckily at Rowton Hall Hotel & Spa you’ll find the food is every bit as fine as the spa treatments.

For spa packages, arrival times vary, so please check your booking confirmation. If you’re here on an overnight stay, check-in to the hotel is at 3pm, but you can use the leisure facilities after 1pm. On your day of departure, check-out is at 11am. 

The hotel has disabled parking, accessible toilets and all public areas are on the ground floor. There’s no lift to upper floors due to the age of the building so if you’re staying overnight, let the hotel know that you’ll need a ground floor room. At the pool, there are shallow steps down into the water with a central handrail but no hoist.

You’ll find Rowton Hall Hotel & Spa just 15 minutes from Chester, but because it’s set in eight acres of leafy grounds you’ll feel like you’re deep in the Cheshire countryside! You can even walk to the centre of Chester from the hotel along the canal in about an hour. Rowton Hall has a home-from-home feel and as such there’s no strict dress code. Having said that, you may feel more comfortable going smart-casual (no jeans or trainers) if you’re dining in its elegant Thyme restaurant.

It is. While treatments at the spa are for those aged 16 and over, children over four can splash in the pool at certain times each day. Your little explorers can let off steam in the eight acres of grounds, before enjoying something from the children’s menu at the hotel.
