Relaxing, anti-stress experience

Lasbareilles, Folkestone

The staff was very nice and smiling. We felt most welcome and started our day with a cup of tea and a biscuit, which was quite enjoyable. The light lunch was very tasty and adapted to such a day. The sessions were extremely relaxing, which is the reason why I was coming to the spa. All areas were clean and spacious. The "warm corner" was particularly nice with its warm floor. The only negative point was that after the bath in the swimming pool (whilst waiting for the first treatment) we remained with our wet bath gown and kept it until lunch: I felt cold in that wet garment and asked for another one (I could not enjoy my meal being cold, and I started to loose the benefits of the warm treatments). The staff kindly gave me a dry one, but I think that it would have left a better effect if this had been done spontaneously. A very good experience altogether, and I would love to go back !

wonderfully relaxing

joanne scarce, Herne Bay

We had a very relaxing day at this spa. Overall the staff were very friendly and put you at ease. The choice of facilities were good although we didn't use the gym and we could have taken part in water aerobics but it was lovely to just relax in the spa and take time to just chat. The facilities were very clean, the lunch was just right, dessert was delicious and our treatments after lunch were fantastic. Our favourite was the neck, shoulder and back massage which was very soothing, carried out very professionally and thoroughly! We liked this place as we never felt pressured to do anything that we didn't want to and we had a great day just doing nothing and being pampered. Will definitely return.

lovely treatments

Gabrielle Jordan-Cross, Kent

Our hotel room was lovely and we had a sea view which was a bonus. The package included 3 course dinner and breakfast which was exquisite! Cannot recommend this hotel more highly for a wonderful eating experience - they clearly have a wonderful chef and could not believe that everything was included in our spa break price! Even breakfast included a choice of having something additional freshly cooked by the chef- eggs benedict yum! As I live locally I will certainly be returning for dinner. The treatment area is also very nice and relaxing and the staff were really friendly and professional. The only disappointment was the spa area itself as I was hoping for something more comfortable and relaxing. The pool was too cold and the Jacuzzi too hot and not at all relaxing. As this spa is open to general public for gym membership it lacked any luxury or sense of 'calm'.

Modern luxury

Olivia Guglia, Birmingham

The Mercure has a great spa with lots of modern facilities. They even do maternity massages which is great as I am 6 months pregnant and had a lot of backache! Very nice staff and modern clean spa facilities including a resistance pool and Jacuzzi. Thoroughly recommended!
