Great for overnight stay First visit to this spa and was pleasantly surprised. The room was warm, clean and the duvets were fabulous. Nice touch adding small reading lights over each bed. Treatment rooms were warm, clean and the therapists were polite, professional and very helpful. On the first day, the pool area itself was absolutely freezing and the swimming pool itself was icy! Needless to say we didn\'t stay in there. Sauna, steam and salt inhalation rooms excellent, as was Jacuzzi BUT to only provide four loungers in this area is totally inadequate, there was certainly room to fit another four in and it was a shame not to be able to lie and relax with a good book there. Service in the restaurant was good although I was disappointed, having ordered smoked salmon as a started to be served a poached salmon fillet I would like to go back in the summer, when it wasn\'t raining the whole time, to have a look around the grounds, which did look fabulous. All in all a very pleasant experience, despite a very few disappointments. |

Fantastic, relaxing and superior retreat Visited the Lifehouse Spa without any previous experience or expectation of it. Delighted with our stay. The spa has the regenerating feel of a spa, mixed with a superb quality of dining and service. Treatments and classes were great, and the overall experience was healthy and slightly indulgent. Blissful Luxury As this was my first visit to a spa-resort, my expectations were high & Lifehouse didn\'t let me down! From the view I had from my luxury room of the beautiful sunken garden & river, to the exquisitely presented & cooked dinner, my every expectation was surpassed. The spa & hotel were spotlessly clean & beautifully presented. With calm, neutral colour-schemes & modern furniture, it truly is an oasis of peace & tranquillity. The staff were friendly, extremely knowledgeable & attentive but unobtrusive. With a ban on mobile phones in the spa, you can relax, safe in the knowledge that your peace is not going to be interrupted by ring-tones & overheard phone conversations. My Indian Head-massage was a wonderfully calming experience and left me blissed-out and relaxed after two days of yoga, Pilates, salsa-dancing and a 1-1 session in the gym. It offers a wonderful retreat from everyday stress. |

Heaven! My first ever visit to a spa and what an amazing place! Took my aunt with me. We had a fantastic day, swimming, coffee in the lounge and a lovely lunch. Day was completed with the Oriental Bathing Experience - everyone must try it. I am not used to just relaxing and chilling, so took a short while to get used to doing nothing! Will definitely go again. My only disappointment was that we weren\'t shown where to go, although we did have a map. As a \'beginner\' I would\'ve liked a quick tour, but we soon found our feet and will know for next time. Looking forward to a spa day in the Spring/Summer and to take a stroll around the gardens. |

Lovely girls day out The spa day was a mother and daughter treat for me, my mum, sister and daughter and we had a wonderful day. The spa was very clean and proved to be a relaxing environment with lovely grounds. The lunch was superb and the treatments ticked all the boxes. We were given a room for the day which was great as it was a good base and a private area for changing and showering at the end of the day. Our only regret was that we hadn\'t made it an overnight stay.We will definitely be re-booking!!! |

Spa heaven! Before giving my review of the Lifehouse Spa, this is the text that my husband sent to my daughter (who gave me this wonderful break).“Good morning, did you know that the vast majority of men strive all their lives to please the woman in their life, totally ignorant in most cases that a Spa Break far outreaches that new tumble drier or even that special turbo vacuum cleaner! Seriously, I won’t be able to get a word in edgeways for days with both your mum & sister telling me how wonderful a time they have had – last night’s call was bad enough! He ho, back to my electric superstore catalogue to see if I can find that elusive special gift!”As alluded to by my husband, my other daughter and I have just enjoyed THE most relaxing couple of days together at Lifehouse Spa in Thorpe-le-Soken.From the moment we arrived, we received a warm welcome, our car was parked for us and our luggage transported to our room. The facilities available were enthusiastically explained including a suggested walk of the historical gardens, a tour was offered and we were escorted to our extremely comfortable room by one of the many personable staff. We were soon padding off for our welcome drink in our complimentary slippers and white dressing gowns! Having booked in for the Body Scrub and luxury pedicures, we chose to swim, use the steam and salt rooms before lunch. Well, although lunch was superb, our dinner was outstanding! All 3 courses were exceptional from the presentation to the flavour. The surprise of the raspberry foam and popping candy treat in-between courses was a true delight!I fell asleep on the massage chair in the relaxation room and then had a firmer massage from the chair in the library. Afterwards we took a stroll around the historical, extensive and well tended attractive grounds; past the tranquil lake and sunken garden using the pink Hunter wellies obtained from reception.During the entire stay, absolutely nothing appeared to be too much trouble and there was always someone on hand to help.Overall – brilliant & whilst I might have to sacrifice that new microwave from my husband (bless him!), I’ll know I’ll return many times in the future |

Amazing new spa From the very start of my experience, I felt pampered. The staff were on hand to take care of me from the moment I walked through the door. From parking my car, to putting my bags in my room, to being show round the facilities, it felt like I was receiving the royal treatment. The main spa was beautiful, with an amazing salt room that leaves your skin feeling so soft, and the best steam room I have ever been in. All of my treatments were amazing! I had a facial with Victoria and it was unlike anything I had ever had before, I felt so relaxed. The range of products used on my skin were so wonderful, and I chose to stock up on some from their on-site shop before coming home.The food was also a wonderful experience, with sumptuous courses which left me feeling pleasantly full, but not at all bloated. My room had a view of the gardens and lakes which was wonderful to wake up to in the morning, and helped enhance my relaxed feeling.I cannot recommend this Spa enough, it really does cater for everyone, and I am already planning my next stay as I feel there is still so much more for me to experience. |
