A nice place overall, feels a little sterile and maybe needs some more thoughtful touches to decor. Staff were all very helpful and friendly, massage was lovely (if only 20 mins long!). Facilities were great, jacuzzi area is a lovely feature and unlimited towels were a nice touch. Extra treatments were very expensive and we hoped the offer of mini manicure, facials and pedicure would have been offered for around the £25 mark, their charges of £45 for a manicure seemed very pricey. Lunch was pretty dire, it used to be a lovely 2 course affair in the restaurant downstairs but instead it was a buffet in a cafe space with very average food, the soup and salads were ok but the main course was 3 reheated hot dishes and they just didn't work. No drinks were offered and dessert was pretty poor, dry scones and tiny pieces of chocolate cake. Overall we expected a much better lunch considering the price of the day. Nice facilities but will stick to Clarice house in Colchester.
