Hotel as expected of an old building.
Dinner & breakfast good.
Spa lovely with pleasant staff.
Swimming pool, showers & changing facilities very shabby, outdated & not worth visiting.
Such a shame as swimming pool plays an important inclusion on a spa experience.
The hotel was good enough to book the spa treatments, for me and my friend for late in the afternoon which gave us time to enjoy lunch, and shop, walk, chat and spend time together, something we just don't get enough time to do. We then had our relaxing treatments which we agreed were excellent before having a drink in the bar and leaving for home. Thank you to the staff at Palace Hotel Buxton.
Absolutely loved the treatment we both received. Myself (celebrating my birthday) and my daughter Aston (bride to be). We both went for the back, neck and shoulder massage and also a facial. The masseur in my case was an absolutely wonderful and made me feel so comfortable and special. Her name was Laura. We also had full use of the spa facilities, towel and robes. We were surprised that the light lunch was fantastic. A starter and main course of a variety of sandwiches, salad, crisps. We had such a wonderful day and we want to thank all the staff involved for making us both feel very special.
The girls were lovely, helpful and attentive. The massage I had was fabulous. X
A surprise birthday gift for my husband - just what he needed. He (I also) really enjoyed the full body massage which he was able to take advantage of during the afternoon of our arrival. This certainly relaxed him and set the tone for the rest of our stay. The staff at the hotel were so attentive - we were given a room upgrade due to the fact that it was my husband's birthday while we were there - another surprise which he really appreciated! Looking forward to a repeat experience next year!
