Working out in the fresh air is also firmly encouraged here. Stroll, power walk or jog around the many scenic nature trails in the beautiful grounds, but there’s no need to go it alone. Champneys offers guided gratitude walks and countryside hikes to help you reconnect with nature - and yourself. 

Feeling sporty? Socialise with friends over a fun game of doubles at the all-weather tennis courts, or try a spot of croquet, petanque or golf. If that’s not enough to tire you out, you’ll also find a Padel court, outdoor badminton and table tennis.

Brasserie at the Manor

Dine in style while you drink in some beautiful views over Eastwell Manor’s gardens at the Brasserie. A gourmet destination in its own right, you won’t just find hotel residents here, because locals also flock to soak up the atmosphere. Sit by the stone fireplace and tuck into scallops, venison loin or a juicy ribeye steak cooked just how you like it (delectable plant-based alternatives are also available!). And the best thing? The Brasserie uses only the best local produce sourced from the idyllic Kent countryside.

When you come for a Champneys Spa Day, you’ll eat your guilt-free-yet-delicious lunch right here in the spa, from the comfort of your snuggly robe. Recently renovated, Champneys own chefs and nutritionists have created a wholesome selection of dishes like salads, juices and fish, all firmly aligned with the brand’s principles of moderation, balance and variety. 

The Manor Bar

Time for an aperitif? Get comfy in the Manor Bar which provides a cosy setting for those all-important post-massage G and Ts. Fancy trying something new? Then why not experiment with one of the bar’s expertly created cocktails? The bar is also the perfect spot to take in the dreamy North Downs views.

There are two! The 20m heated outdoor pool nestles in the Eastwell Manor’s garden, a stone’s throw from the petanque court. Perfect for sunny days, it oozes old-world glamour. There’s even a cute bar in a retro van so you don’t have to stray too far from your lounger to get refreshments. The outdoor pool is weather dependent and only open during the summer months. Children are welcome too, at designated swimming times in the morning and afternoon.

But the star of the show is the gleaming 20m indoor pool in the haven of tranquillity that is the spa. Beautifully lit, it features loungers artfully contained within curtained areas so you don’t ever have to get too up-close and personal with the person next to you. 

Tempted to turn a spa day into a spa stay? You’re in luck. Eastwell Manor has 22 traditionally-styled rooms and suites in the original Manor House, some with grand four-poster beds and panoramic garden views. 

Here on a spa break? You’ll drift off to sleep in one of 39 sleek and modern mews rooms and suites in what used to be the Victorian stables. Some have private terraces and living areas, making them perfect for groups of friends. 

Champneys Spa Days at Eastwell Manor start at 9am and end at 6pm, but do check your booking confirmation for full details. For overnight stays at Eastwell Manor, check-in is from 3pm, while departure time is at 11am.

No, it’s one of Champneys’ luxury spa hotels. Champneys has four resorts - Tring, Forest Mere, Henlow and Springs. These are health spas with a laser focus on your health and wellbeing.

Its two luxury spa hotels, Eastwell Manor and Mottram Hall, feature all the mod cons you’d expect from a destination hotel (think elegant interiors, gourmet dining and afternoon tea) along with a Champneys spa.

You’ll find it in Kent, a 15-minute drive from Ashford International Station. Set within secluded and beautifully manicured grounds, it offers far-reaching views of the rural North Downs. 

Close to the village of Boughton Lees, it's on the edge of Eastwell Park, a large area of parkland and country estate that was once owned by the Earls of Winchilsea. It’s also a 10-minute drive to Wye village, close to the Wye Downs, an area of outstanding natural beauty. 

Very little, as you’ll be spending most of your day swanning around in your complimentary towelling robe and flip-flops! You’ll obviously need swimwear to wear in the pool and thermal facilities. But it's a good idea to bring some spare swimwear or dry underwear to keep you feeling comfortable when you go for lunch, or if you’re planning on booking into a treatment. 

You’ll also need activewear and trainers if you’re going to use the gym or have a class, and a spare pair for outdoors if you fancy a stroll around the grounds. And, if you’re thinking about staying for dinner, you’ll need something smart/casual to wear. Just remember to reserve your table in advance.

Yes you do! Flip flops are provided to all guests and are yours to keep. They’re also anti-slip tested so they’re perfect for the spa and poolside.

Champneys has owned the property since 2017. Since then the group has renovated the bedrooms and created that swish new spa. The original Eastwell Manor, built in the 18th century, was the home of Prince Alfred from 1874 to 1893, during which time his mother, Queen Victoria, was a regular visitor. It was destroyed by fire in the 1920s but rebuilt in the same style, retaining some of its original features.

Unlike Champneys Resorts which are strictly for over 16s only, Eastwell Manor is a Champneys hotel and as such it does welcome children. In fact your spa-loving mini-me’s aged 14 to 16 can even have a treatment, as long as you go with them to the treatment rooms (no electrical treatments or intimate waxing).

Here with the family? The Earl of Northumberland room includes bunk beds, and you’ll also find child-sized meals on offer in the hotel’s restaurant. Children aged three and over can splash about in the outdoor pool during the summer months between 8.30 and 10am and 4.30pm and 6pm, but they’re not allowed in the indoor pool.

Start packing their little doggy suitcase! Pampered pooches can stay in Eastwell Manor’s Mews Cottage accommodation. They are not allowed to set a paw into the Manor House itself, or the spa, however.

Yes it has a nine-hole golf course in its 62 acres of gardens and grounds, along with a resident falconer, garden games like pitch and putt, table tennis, tennis, pétanque and croquet.
