The price of each island at the time of purchasing was sourced in the currency available for each property in either pounds or dollars. This was then converted using the historical exchange rate to find out price of the island in the opposing currency. This was also the method used to find out the value of the property, using the year of purchase and rate of inflation to find out its current value in dollars and pounds.
