Do you remember me telling you about Charlotte Hall, who discovered a love of swimming after she learned with Ragdale Hall instructor Jon Jarvis? Well, if you remember, she was asked to take part in the World Transplant Games this year, sometime after recovering from acute myeloid leukaemia - and trained again at Ragdale Hall before the games.
Ragdale told us that Charlotte has made them proud by coming home from the games in Gothenburg with a fine selection of medals!
Charlotte won team silver in the running and two bronze medals for table tennis - she also came a respectable fifth in the 50 metre freestyle final. Charlotte said that her dives were good and that she had been really pleased that she'd managed to do her tumble turns, because she'd been practising them for so long! She returned to Ragdale straight afterwards to get back into training for the British Transplant Games, so watch this space as she seems to be on a roll at the moment!
Well done Charlotte... and another well done to Liam Tancock, Ragdale Hall's sponsored swimmer who has held on to his World Champion title after winning gold in the 50 metre backstroke at the World Swimming Championships in Shanghai. It seems Ragdale Hall is the place to go for water babies!
