A spa day is always grand, but a spa break, now that’s something I reckon we could all do with. I’ve been so busy lately – I’ve signed up with a personal trainer who is helping me improve my Race for Life running time (I’m doing it in Suffolk, near where my parents live, in June). I’ve also been coerced into trying out one of those fitness boot camps in the local park, which is probably why it keeps raining. So now, I’m looking for the perfect spring spa break to help me get a handle on my fitness and with any luck, recharge my batteries in time for all this exercise I’m planning!
I love the sound of a couple of the spa deals at Amida Spas in Farnham, which isn’t too far away. But at the same time, maybe I’m thinking if I want to get away from it all, I should look into one of the longer breaks at one of the spa resorts that really knows how to give you a great time. Some of the themed breaks look quite appealing – for example I just LOVE the idea of a Champneys Tring Transformation Break. This one might take a little bit of saving for though, because although it’s a brilliant deal for a 12 night stay in one of the most luxurious spas in the UK, it’s still a bit pricey if you have a small, growing child, hungry man and a car to support!
The package is fabulous though, personalised facials, choice of fitness classes, nutrition session, health and lifestyle seminars and a bit of an MOT to let you know how your health is before you start. I don’t think I’d want to come home! At almost £1500, it’s a bit out of my budget at the moment…perhaps I should start a Spa Goddess Sarah Transformation Fund?
A bit more affordable is the Champneys Top to Toe Day, which gets you a facial, massage, manicure, use of all Champneys’ lovely facilities, classes and food for £189. But the only trouble is you have to go home after just one day….anyone fancy making a donation?
