It’s awards ceremony time of year, and the spa world embraced its very own red carpet event at the second annual World Spa & Wellness Awards on 24th February. While the stars of Hollywood were gratefully accepting their Oscars, spas in the UK and beyond were holding their breath to see if they were the lucky recipient of an award at a fabulous black tie gala dinner at London Hilton on Park Lane.
We’d love to congratulate some of our favourite spas on their success at the awards, including the Champneys Group of Spas for their outstanding Contribution to the Industry award. Champneys are always innovators – I’ve been to the gorgeous resort spa in Tring and it was amazing. There are four Champneys spas, at Tring, Henlow Grange, Springs and Forest Mere, so if you want to find out what the fuss is about, you’re bound to find one you like the sound of close enough to home to make it worth a spa break.
Champneys spas offer taster evenings and days as well as long, long indulgent stays, and some of the innovative services and therapies include support with IVF and fertility treatment, working with Olympians and coming up with new and exciting variations on the Boot Camp, so there’s always something going on at Champneys!
Other UK spas to look out for include the Rookery Hall Health Club & Spa, Cheshire, winner of Residential Spa, ten rooms or fewer, and Oceo Spa, Seafield Hotel for 11 rooms or more.
All the winners were chosen by industry experts with the help interviews, trade tests and mystery shoppers. Congratulations to all the worthy winners from everyone at SpaSeekers!
