It’s always great to find out that some of our favourite spas in the UK are winning awards, and so I was really chuffed to find out that Champneys Spa in Tring has won a prestigious award recently. They were up against some real spa heavyweights, competing for the 2011 award for ‘The Best Resort in England’ against Hoar Cross Hall, Cliveden House, Stoke Park Club, Danesfield House and Four Seasons Spa in Hampshire.
Winning this award is a really big pat on the back for Champneys, as the awards celebrate excellence in all areas of travel and tourism and winning one is seen as being a bit like an Oscar for anyone involved in the travel industry. I’m lucky enough to have spent a few days at Champneys before (although it was a long time ago now and I’m always open to another invitation…) and even a few years ago I thought it was a cutting edge spa – you can always rely on them to pioneer new treatments without neglecting the tried and tested spa therapies and delicious pampering sessions that we all expect from a spa visit.
So, it’s a big well done from SpaSeekers going out to Champneys – keep up the good work, and if you need anyone to review the spa again, I’m your girl!
