There’s a day, a week, a month for everything…but I love the idea of Chicken Soup for the Soul Day on November 12. It was created by the people behind the super-successful book series as a “celebration of who you are, where you've been, where you're going, and who you will be thankful to when you get there!"
I had my very own Chicken Soup for the Soul moment when I went back to Lifehouse Hotel and Spa last week. I was lucky enough to be booked in overnight for a relaxing break, and between you and me, boy did I need it! A catch up, pamper and gossip with a good girl friend was the perfect antidote to a really stressful few weeks.
I saw people ‘celebrating who they were’ in style – as I lazed around by the pool, Kindle in hand, I had to marvel at the two ladies in their fuchsia pink ‘onesies’ who were definitely being themselves and relaxing in their very own inimitable style. Go, girls.
I had a chance to catch up with the lovely Sue Davies, Lifehouse naturopath, who is excited to be one of SpaSeekers’ brand new team of health and wellbeing experts. So we had a chance to chat about where Lifehouse is going in the future, as well as plans for exciting blog posts, tips and advice from a woman who really knows her stuff. You can tell that Sue totally practices what she preaches about good nutrition, lifestyle and wellbeing, because she’s probably the most enthusiastic, positive and lovely people you could meet. Just chatting to her for an hour or so put me in a happy mood!
Finally – who to be thankful to? Well, I have to say a big thank you to everyone at Lifehouse of course, to the lovely Wendy who gave me a full two hours of her undivided attention during the Chakra Balancing treatment I experienced, but as the trip was about keeping a very good friend company, and I was there because she invited me, my biggest gratitude has to be for friends. Even Spa Goddesses can have soppy moments…
