I like to share my spa love with as many people as possible, but Father’s Day is probably one of the hardest gifts to give a spa break slant to. My family and friends know that I’ll be trying to tempt them to a spa day or the latest in spa products when it comes to special occasions but to be honest, finding something a bit different can he hard work.
I have to tell you about the latest craze, even though my own dad would rather become a monk than try it. For the man who really does have it all – Pejazzling. Thanks to The Only Way is Essex, we’ve all heard of Vajazzling – decorating our nether regions with Swarovski crystals – well now it’s the boys turn! TOWIE star Mark Wright is the ‘face’ of the new range of male-friendly crystals – and no prizes for guessing where the men are supposed to decorate themselves...whatever floats your boat! They can also be applied to a man’s back, shoulders or wherever he wants a bit of bling...
I mentioned if the other day but Grayshott Hall have ‘Serene Sunday’ Fathers Day spa deals - not just for men but they sound like a perfect Father’s Day gift – although they have full use of the spa’s pools, saunas and gym, as well as the leisure facilities, they also get to use the golf course, and go on a guided walk through the grounds with Grayshott’s Fitness team and a delicious buffet lunch. All for £75.
For the dad-about-town there’s some top class toiletry action with the Clinique Great Grooming Set for Men. Available from Boots, it contains some of Clinique's bestselling male grooming products – the Age Defense Hydrator, Face Scrub and Age Defense Eyes. A bargain at £25.50.
Another spa deal that even the most stubborn ‘I’m not doing that beauty stuff’ dad will embrace is a Men’s MOT from Bannatyne’s Health Clubs. For just £59 it includes one of three types of massage, or a Chakra balancing, and full use of the facilities in any of 29 Bannatyne’s spa locations across the UK.
For the dad who likes to be spoiled in the old-fashioned way, Carter and Bond of London have an offer (available through Buyagift.com) for an old-fashioned deluxe hot towel wet shave. Based in trendy Notting Hill, the offer covers a full shave and moisturise treatment, which will leave your dad with a spring in his step and looking dapper for £30.
Happy Father’s Day!
