It’s Father’s Day in June and I’m puzzling over what to get my own dad. He’s an old-fashioned kinda guy, so no spa day or pamper day package would pass muster – well unless I was to try and find one that makes him feel all manly and leaves the metrosexual side of it to the other guys.
He probably wouldn’t be up for a luxurious facial or massage, however male-oriented the products were, but I reckon if I were to find him some great spa products or maybe one of those fabulous hot shave spa packages, he could be tempted into being treated like the wonderful man he is and leave the spa feeling great – and looking groomed and distinguished!
So many UK spas seem to focus on us girlies that I reckon it’s time the boys got a bit of the action, don’t you? Some places I know of are catching up with the Father’s Day demand and have brought out some Father’s day spa deals – like Hanbury Manor Hotel Spa in Ware. Now, they are a bit too far away for my dad, anyway, who is only around the corner from us in Surrey. They offer full use of the facilities and a massage – which would go down well with some dads, although probably not mine.
I might investigate a Grayshott Hall Serene Sunday as well, as I think a brisk walk in the grounds might be more appealing than this ‘aromatherapy nonsense’ that doesn’t really float his boat. He’d also get a free lunch and use of the golf course so that should keep him happy!
Would your dad go to a spa? Is he metrosexual enough to go in for male grooming?
